Trento, November 5th 2016

The eight round of regular season SuperLeague UnipolSai 2016/17 will be entirely played on Sunday November 6th. In this occasion Diatec Trentino will wait at PalaTrento the visit of Revivre Milano. The match will begin at 6 p.m., with live coverage on  Radio Dolomiti and  live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at this link www.sportube.tv.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After having strengthen its position between the first four ranked teams thanks to the nine points obtained in the three matches after the arrival from Brazil, the Yellow-blue formation will try to confirm its physical condition against Milano, in order to play in the best condition possible at the derby dell’Adige on Wednesday evening in Verona.
The guys hold on very well in this last period but our schedule doesn’t allow pauses and for this reason we will have the same determination also against Milan – the coach Angelo Lorenzetti explained while presenting the match - . In order to play well this match it will be necessary focus on the quality of our play actions before focusing on the adversary; due to a number of reasons, it’s in fact difficult to be tactically prepared for the occasion: Revivre has often changed its official players in the last period introducing also a ductile player as Dennis. We will have to be fast and ready to understand while playing what kind of match will be”. For the fourth home match the coach of Diatec Trentino will be able to count on the fourteen players and only in the last moment will decide the starting six players. In the third position, there will probably be a  new relay, as usual in the last matches, between Van de Voorde, Solé and Daniele Mazzone. The preparation for the match will be completed with the trainings this evening and on Sunday morning at PalaTrento. On Sunday, Trentino Volley will play the 673th official match of its history, the  411th  in regular season and will try to win for the 240th time in a home match.
ADVERSARIES Revivre Milano approaches the match in PalaTrento having to deal with crucial absences that already affected the performance of the team during the first seven rounds. With only 5 points in the ranking, coach Luca Monti must do without bulgarian wing spiker Skrimov, absent since the beginning of the season, opposite spiker Starovic and setter Sbertoli, replace by experienced Boninfante. Nonetheless the three players should join the team on Sunday, even if unlikely any of them will take the court due to their physical condition. The club from Milano had to return on the players market and register opposite spiker Angel Dennis (former player of Latina and Modena), a skilfull player who Trentino fans will certainly remember, having proved his talent during the 2011 semifinals series with Modena jersey. The left handed spiker plays along with canadian wing spiker Hoag, the middle blocker De Togni, libero Cortina and Marretta; most of the eyes of PalaTrento fans will be on the young middle blocker from Mezzocorona Gianluca Galassi. Trained in the Trentino Volley youth sector, Gianluca will play his first match in Trento as an opponent, after two years in A2 league with Club Italia.

PRECEDENTS Trentino Volley and Power Volley Milano have played against each other only four times before (Milano club was born in 2013) and the result was always favorable to Trento. During the past 15 years Trentino Volley faced other two teams from Milano: Asystel, six times from 2000 until 2003 and Sparkling in 2007 and 2008.

REFEREES The match will be directed by the Umbrian couple Ilaria Vagni (from Perugia, referee since 2003 and international referee since 2014) and Simone Santi (from Città di Castello – Perugia, in the SuperLeague since 1994 and international Fivb referee since 2011). For both this will be the second time together in the SuperLeague UnipolSai 2016/17, the fourth one for Vagni (last precedent with Trento was on February 21th, victory 3-1 in Latina), the sixth one for Santi, who met the yellow-blue team this season for the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup 2016 on September 24th (the team lost 1-3 in Modena).
