Between today and tomorrow the fourth round of the regular season of Super League UnipolSai 2015/16 will be played. The Diatec Trentino will host on Thursday November 12th at PalaTrento the team LPR Piacenza. The kick-off is scheduled at 8.30 pm, broadcasted live on on RAI Sport 1 TV and Radio Dolomiti.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO The defeat of Sunday evening in Perugia slid the team of Stoytchev from first to third place, to be shared with the same Sir Safety Conad and Latina; yet another act of super classic Piacenza - challenge that in three cases has awarded the championship (2008, 2009 and 2013) - for the Italian champions then becomes an opportunity for the immediate redemption and to open in the best way the trio of Super League matches that will see them face only teams of Emilia Romagna: after LPR in fact, on Sunday there will be room for the challenge in Forli against the CMC and then seven days later (on November 22nd) for the home match vs. Modena. In the middle of all these commitments, there is also a trip to Greece, in Thessaloniki, for the CEV Champions League, that will make the calendar even more full of events.
"We deserved to lose in Perugia, because the opponents played better than us, but the loss of Sundays must change the way we will approach the next matches” - explained the coach Radostin Stoytchev, introducing the program -. “So, we will return to the field tomorrow evening with an open mind and with the desire to find a guaranteed success and try to get it with a better and more continuous game. We have great respect for Piacenza, in the last ten years we have always made us sweating any kind of game also in PalaTrento, and I believe it will be like that also on this occasion. Compared to last year this is a team that has preserved important skills such as the experience, that comes from having in the squad players like Zlatanov, Papi, Kohut and Tencati, and even more interesting young one like Perrin and Luburic".
Once again, the coach of Diatec Trentino will not be able to count on Urnaut and will rely in place 4 to the blue couple Lanza and Antonov, backed up by the high ball of Djuric, who is steadily recovering and on his 99th match with the yellow-blue jersey. Before the match the Yellow-blues will still have two more sessions with the ball (one today afternoon and one tomorrow morning).
The match against the historical opponent of Piacenza will be the official 617th match 617 for the Club of Via Trener, the 386^ in the regular season, where they haven’t lost at home for almost 20 months; the last internal knock-out in the regular season is in fact dated March 16th, 2014 (1-3 against Perugia). After that defeat, Palatrento saw thirteen straight victories in the regular season.
PREVIOUSLY With tomorrow's match, Piacenza will reach Cuneo at 47 official games played against Trentino Volley and become the second Company most faced in the history of the Yellow-blue Club after Modena (challenged for 55 times). The prognostic is in favor of Trento for 29-17, mainly thanks to thirteen victories in the last 17 direct matches. Last season the match was played three times, always smiling to Stoytchev’s team: 3-0 on December 28th, 2014 and on January 3rd, 2015 for 3-2 (quarters of the Italian Cup) at PalaTrento and always in straight sets at the PalaBanca on April 4th, 2015 in the last match of the regular season. The latest success in Emilia dates back to March 8th, 2014 (semi-finals of the Italian Cup in Bologna), while to find a statement of Piacenza in PalaTrento we need to even go back to May 17th, 2009 (victory for 3-2 in Game 5 of the final playoffs, winning then the championship). Altogether, Trentino Volley won eighteen of the twenty-four previous matches played against the red and white between friendly walls.
REFEREES The meeting will be headed by the couple Armando Simbari (from Milano, in the top serie since 2007) and Mauro Goitre (from Turin, of duty since 2008); for both this is the second match of the season in Super League UnipolSai 2015/16. Last season the Lombard whistle directed three games with Trento (defeat in Verona for 0-3 on November 1st, 2014 and home victories against Modena for 3-0 on December 21st, 2014 and against Perugia for 3-1 on January 18th, 2015) while the Piedmont referee last season directed Trento vs. Padua 3-0 (on October 19th, 2014), Trento vs. Latina 3-1 (on February 22nd, 2015) and Trento vs. Molfetta 3-0 (on April 12th, 2015).
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET Trento vs. Piacenza will be a global media event, enjoying the live broadcast of any type of media. It will be broadcast live on RAI Sport 1 TV, visible both on the digital terrestrial platform (also in HD on channel 557) and on the Sky one at number 227, with comment entrusted to Marco Fantasia and Claudio Galli. The game will streamed also on www.raisport.rai.it/dl/raisport/multimedia/diretta.html.
Scheduled as usual also the direct commentary of the entire match on Radio Dolomiti, the partner radio of Trentino Volley, starting at 8:25 pm. The connections with PalaTrento will be done within the program "Sports Champions". On television the match integral deferred will be on air on Saturday November 14th, at 9.30 pm on RTTR, TV partner of the Company of via Trener.
