On the 26th of December Diatec Trentino gives the sixth place in SuperLega: the first round was a success against Monza for 3-1

The official match was a good return for Diatec Trentino after more than 3 weeks of absence. Winning the match against Gi Group Monza at the PalaTrento for 3-1 on the 26th December the Yellow-blues concluded the first round of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 regular season in the best way. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team gained the sixth place thanks to the three points obtained in this match, reaching the turning point with only four points of gap to the fourth place and confirming the positivity of the home games the day after Christmas. The reason of the sixth consecutive success in the championship is the team’s reaction after having lost the first set and having had some difficulties during the second. Diatec Trentino started playing well again, thanks to some perfect in-game substitutions such as Hoag (mvp with 17 points, 1 block and 2 aces) and Kozamernik (perfect services); but the best player was Uros Kovacevic, obtaining 20 points, 55% in the net area and 2 blocks. After the winning of that set for 25-21, the way to the top was short, because Trento gained courage also in the break with service and block and Monza became more and more shy, trying to react with Dzavoronok.
