SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17 gets back on court Wednesday February 22nd for the twenty-sixth round of regular season, brought ten days early. Diatec Trentino will be the protagonist of the last home appointment of regular season, playing against Exprivia Molfetta at PalaTrento. The match will begin at 8.30 p.m.: live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at this link www.sportube.tv.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO The Yellow-blue formation will play the third consecutive match at PalaTrento with the aim of conquering all the stake to preserve the second place in the ranking. In order to stand before the Umbrians without considering the results of the other matches, Lanza and his team mates will be able to lose at most one set between the match against Molfetta and that of Sunday in Monza. The Coach Angelo Lorenzetti warns his team in view of tomorrow’s evening match. “The match against Molfetta will be difficult as the one played against Modena because the adversaries know how to challenge our side out system – the technic of Diatec Trentino said -. In fact Exprivia counts on the service where the players are very good at and the fact that they are able to do important rotations. Therefore we must be as usual very agressiv, particularly in the competitiveness, and we must be aware that we spent a lot of physical and mental energies to defeat Azimut on Sunday. For that reason, we wil have to play an important match against a team thatseeks the three points at stake, as we do, to reach in the best possible way the playoffs”. Towards the match, the coach of Diatec Trentino has’t any particular problem that concern the formation; all the fourteen players have regularly trained in the last two days and are ready to play. On Wedensday evening Trentino Volley will play the 698th official match of its history (balance sheet: 488 victories and 209 defeats), the thirty-ninth of the current season;Palatrento has been undefeated for ten months and fifteenth official matches; if the team wins in this case, Trento would close the regular season without home defeats – as already happened in 2003/04, 2009/10 and 2014/15 seasons.
THE OPPONENTS The surprising success but well deserved in four sets in the home match on Sunday evening against Monza allowed Exprivia to stay in race for the qualifications to the playoff, alreay gained in the last two seasons. To gain the eight place in the ranking, the last place that allows to be introduced in the final’s board for the 2016/17pennant, the team from Puglia doesn’t have to look only its results, considering that the White-red are four points distant from Ravenna which regulates in this sense the group of four contendants, including also Latina and Vibo Valentia. Molfetta will arrive at Trento determined to reach its primary aim on the championship, so far characterized just by two away victories: 3-1 in Vibo Valentia and 3-2 in Ravenna. On the other hand, the home performances were very satisfactory, marked by the success that led to three points against Modena and Verona and the point taken from Trento. The fundamental offensive element based on the Brazilian Thiago’s play is the opposite Giulio Sabbi, the best striker of the championship with 520 points in 24 matches and best server with 50 aces. Howevere the player Joao Rafael in 4th position takes to the next level the team trained by Gulinelli, not surprisingly he has been nominated mvp also on Sunday evening. The middle-blocker Polo, grown in the youth division of Trentino Volley, will also play in diagonal with Vitelli; the Brazilian Leite Costa, acquired in mid December, has in fact found his place so far in the 3rd position.
THE PRECEDENTS At PalaTrento on Wednesday between the two Clubs will be played the 17th official match, the eighth in the last twelve months considering also the five home matches of the quarter finals of Playoff Championship 2016. The balance sheet counts eleven victories of Trentino Volley, which has lost once meaningless time: January 14th 2016, defeated at the tie break in the away match of quarter finals of Coppa Italia. The Yellow-blue won the other seven matches played at PalaTrento, the most recent one: April 3rd 2016, 3-1 with the former mvp Daniele Mazzone. In the home match ( December 4th 2016) Diatec Trentino won 3-2, with sets of 25-21, 19-25, 29-31, 25-21, 15-13 and Urnaut (19 points) best player.
THE REFEREES The match will be guided by da Bruno Frapiccini (from Ancona, in the maximum category since 2002) and Andrea Pozzato (from Bolzano in Serie A since 2004). The Referee from Marche will arbitrate for the thirteenth time in SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17. He did it only once in Trento ( success for 3-1 against Sora on December 16th), while Pozzato will arbitrate for the fifteenth time of his season, the second match with Diatec Trentino as protagonist; Trento-Padova 3-1 on December 26th.
RADIO, TV AND INTERNET The match will be reported live by Radio Dolomiti (Trentino Volley partner network). The links with the match at PalaTrento will be made within “Campioni di Sport”, the sport program of via Missioni Africane. The frequencies to listen to the regional network are available on the home page www.trentinovolley.it, while on the site www.radiodolomiti.com will be also possible to listen to the live streaming of the report of the match. It is also scheduled a live video-report of the match on the web space “Lega Volley Channel”, at www.sportube.tv/volley; you must pay to have this service. The recorded broadcast of the match will be entirely transmitted on Sunday February 25th at 9.30 p.m. by RTTR, partner TV of the Club of via Trener. The coupons will be available also on Wednesday at PalaTrento from 7.30 p.m., when the entrance will be opened. The ticket box will remain open until the end of the second set. From that moment it will no longer be possible to enter PalaTrento to watch the rest of the match.

In this occasion there will be second “Forst Day” of the season. After the appreciated initiative during the home match against Milano, Birra Forst – since years sponsor of Trentino Volley – and the Club Vice Champion of Europe will set up a series of initiatives to promote the important partnership. PalaTrento, the hospitality room “Agorà” and the official match program will have the brand of Forst. Also the prize that will be awarded to the best player of the match will be Forst-branded: a bottle of two liter of beer Forst Sixtus to cheer with the team mates to the best performance made.
