The one that starts tomorrow with the match of Molfetta will be the 14th participation into the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup final in sixteen seasons of activities for Trentino Volley, who missed the final stage of the competition only in the first season in A1 (2000/01, eliminated in the quarterfinals of the preliminary stage from Cuneo) and the last Lattari management (2006/07). Eight times the company of via Trener has passed the first round, reaching the Final Four: in 2001/02 after beating Montichiari 3-2 in the quarter-final played in Forlì, in 2005/06 eliminating Macerata (3-1) in Ferrara, in 2009/10 overcoming Perugia 3-0 and opening the way for the success then got in Montecatini on January 31st, 2010 in the final 3-1 against Cuneo, in 2010/11 when they defeated Monza 3-0, and then was overcome in the final in Verona by the same Bre Banca Lannutti in three sets, in the 2011/12 season when they overcame Vibo Valentia 3-0, then winning the trophy in the final in Rome against Macerata (3-2), in the 2012/13 when they dismissed Perugia in four sets confirming then in the final in Milan (3-1 always over Macerata), in 2013/14 when they were stopped in the semifinals in Bologna just from Piacenza (1-3) in the quarterfinals after eliminating Modena 3-1 and in the last when they surrendered in the final in Modena (1-3), after passing Piacenza in the quarterfinals and semifinals in Perugia always at the tie-break. In the first two Final Four played, Trentino was instead removed from Cuneo in their semi-final 3-0 with the same number; in the other five equity elimination it came directly to the quarterfinals: in 2002/03 at the hands of Macerata, in 2003/04 for work of Cuneo, in 2004/05, in 2007/08 and in 2008/09 signed by Treviso.
In the Italian Cup the Company of via Trener has played until now a total of twenty-eight matches, winning sixteen of them. The players with the most appearances in this event with the yellow-blues jersey are Kaziyski and Birarelli with (17); the one of the actual squad that has played the most is Colaci with 14.
