Even the third test match pre-championship is positive for Diatec Trentino. After two successful matches against Piacenza in the last ten days, the team trained by Angelo Lorenzetti won its third match this evening in Veneto against Calzedonia Verona in the second semifinal of “1° Trofeo Città di Villafranca”. The success of 3-0 against Verona will allow Giannelli and his team mates to face the last and important match of the Final Four of Del Monte Super cup 2016 scheduled the next weekend. The Final will be played tomorrow, Sunday September 18th from 6 p.m. in the same arena, once again against LPR. It will be an opportunity to verify not only technic and strategy but also physical and mental condition less than a day from the previous commitment. Today’s victory arrived more strongly than that with Piacenza; thanks to good rates of attack (63% of the team, with Solé 88% and Urnaut 72%), making it easier for the team in the Side Out phase. Giannelli was able to attack, redoubling the points with the Argentinian middle blocker, the Slovenian spiker and team captain Lanza (13 points with 2 aces and 65%), including also Stork (69%). Also service and block (scored five points each) were effective and confirmed the increasingly physical and technical condition.
