Today afternoon the Video Room of PalaTrento once again hosted the meeting between the local media and the trainer of Diatec Trentino Angelo Lorenzetti. Match 2 of Finale Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai 2017, scheduled for 4th May at 8.30 pm, has been the central issue of the conference.
“On Thursday evening we want to change the balance of power between us and Civitanova – explained the yellow-blue trainer -. In match 1 the difference has been considerable in terms of way of playing; we worked and are still working in order to close the gap and play more balanced sets. We need to focus on every single match, without thinking that on Thursday we could also be 0-2 in the series if things go wrong. This is not the moment for negative thoughts. We examined match 1 and during the week we had time to change some things in order to cause difficulties to our adversaries. The victory of Perugia in the semi-final of Champions League against Lube shows that there is only one possibility to defeat this opponent: playing to the limit of our capacities is the key, and maybe trying to do a little more. Where can we grow? Surely in the service, but it’s not only a technical issue; fundamental is also the ability of dealing with the power of our adversaries and the capacity of maintaining a steady level without changing it on the basis of the adversaries’ efficiency. What about the attack? We worked on it throughout the whole season putting other aspects on the back burner. It has nevertheless been a funny path and in match 2 we would like to see the results”.
