The season 2016-17, the registration for the CEV Cup has been formalized: the 9th consecutive participation in European Cups

Today Trentino Volley has completed the procedures to formalize its membership to the 2017 CEV Cup. The Company of via Trener has earned the right to participate in the second European competition for clubs due to the third place of the regular season of Super League UnipolSai 2015/16.
In the agonistic year 2016/17, Trentino Volley will be back at the starting line of the CEV Cup tournament in which will participate for the third time in its history after the elimination in the second round in 2004/05 and the recent second place behind Dinamo Moscow in the 2014/15. For the Club it will be the ninth consecutive participation in a European Cup, considering the constant presence between 2008 and 2013 in the CEV Champions League and the beautiful silver medal just obtained in Krakow.
"The collected results and the continued participation in the major continental tournaments they have confirmed in time the European dimension of our society” - said the President Diego Mosna . -“Trentino Volley will be competing in the next edition of the CEV Cup, looking as always for high-profile results, which will again provide visibility to our province and to all the sponsors who will accompany us in this latest and exciting adventure. To have constantly the opportunity to play an international event is never banal or predictable; I believe that doing it for the ninth consecutive season, it's even more a particular source of pride for the city of Trento and for all the fans”.
After May 16th the CEV will confirm the number of subscribed teams (up to a maximum of 64) in the competition: among those for sure there will be the presence of Russian teams, Polish and German of top level. As in the recent past, the tournament will be divided into six double rounds of competition (round trip, with eventual golden set tiebreaker) knockout. The thirty-final draw will be on Thursday, June 30th, 2016; Trentino Volley, however, should enter the scene only in the next round (sixteenths-finals).
