The t-shirt’s numbers chosen by the athletes of Trentino Volley for the 2015/2016 season are now official; the season will officially start on Saturday, October 24th with the 2015 Final Italian Super Cup against Modena Volley (playing hall yet to formalize). Here is the full list:

The only players, who were already in the squad during the last season and who chose a new number, have been Tiziano Mazzone and Mitar Djuric. The spiker from Lazio has left number 12 to the greek opposite (T-shirt particularly significant for him and which he wore in his first Trentino experience between 2011 and 2013) picking for himself the number 5 so that, after two seasons of absence, is back again in the list.
The number 14, that Djuric was wearing during the 2014 Championship playoffs, is instead passed on the shoulders of Simon Van de Voorde, who had specifically asked for a T-shirt with double figures, as already happened in the Belgian National (10) and Latina (11). High numer also for the other new middle-blocker Daniele Mazzone (for the previous of Città di Castello is ready numer 18 already worn in Umbria) and for Tine Urnaut, who picked number 17 used in Trento in the last four seasons of Burgsthaler, and that the Slovenian has worn for years both in national and in the club (in Piacenza, Kedzierzyn-Kozle, Vibo Valentia, Latina and Izmir he always chose this one).
Among the new faces, Bratoev took number 6, in Trento already as a prerogative of setters such as Meoni and Zygadlo, while the young libero De Angelis has booked number 8 (also used in the youth sector), that last season was on the shoulders of Thei. Simone Giannelli instead continue to have the number 9, which commemorates the day of his birthday: on Sunday, August 9th the MVP of the Super League UnipolSai has indeed turned 19.
On the T-shirt’s number of Giannelli is linked a statistical curiosity absolutely particular: number 9 is in fact, the only one always used in the fifteen-year history of the Company of via Trener; previously was dressed by famous names like those of Grbic, Nascimento, Sala, Hübner, Bernardi and Lavorato, first captain of Trentino.
