Today the Federvolley has officially announced the list of the twenty-one players who will play the World League 2016. In the list stands out the presence of five athletes of Trentino Volley: Oleg Antonov, Massimo Colaci, Simone Giannelli, Filippo Lanza and Gabriele Nelli.
For everyone it’s a confirm referring to the previous year, considering that the same athletes had taken part in the 2015 season to the Final Six in Brazil and, Nelli separately, also in the World Cup in Japan and the European Championship.

Below you can find the complete list of athletes summoned by the Technical Commissioner Gianlorenzo Blengini:
Setters Simone Giannelli (Trento), Daniele Sottile (Latina) and Riccardo Sbertoli (Milano).
Middle-blocker: Enrico Cester (Civitanova), Davide Candellaro (Molfetta), Emanuele Birarelli (Perugia), Simone Buti (Perugia), Matteo Piano (Modena) and Simone Anzani (Verona).
Spikers: Osmany Juantorena (Civitanova), Filippo Lanza (Trento), Oleg Antonov (Trento), Michele Fedrizzi (Molfetta), Iacopo Botto (Monza) and Gabriele Maruotti (Latina).
Opposites: Ivan Zaytsev (Moscow), Luca Vettori (Modena), Gabriele Nelli (Trento) and Giulio Sabbi (Tours).
Libero: Massimo Colaci (Trento) and Salvatore Rossini (Modena).

The event’s debut will take place between June 17th and 19th in Sydney ( Australia), where the Blues compete in rapid succession France, Belgium and the hosts. The home debut will take place instead in Rome the following weekend (June 24th-26th) always against Australia, Belgium and the USA. From next weekend the players who have not yet reached the retirement in Cavalese, will reach Val di Fiemme to start working with the group. There will be also two friendly match, always against Australia: on May 17th at 5:30 pm, on May 18th at 2.30 pm.
