HERE TRENTINO DIATEC
After playing in 2015 CEV Cup and then also in 2016 CEV Champions League, the Club from Trento will try to reach the finals for the third time in a row in an European Cup: to enter the qualification it will have to win at least two sets on Saturday evening, or just win the golden set at the 15° point that will be played only if the Turks win for 3-0 or 3-1. Despite the results of Tuesday, the task won’t be easy; for the first time in this edition in fact Lanza and his team mates will have to play the second match of the double round away. It is a situation that could cause some risks as the coach Angelo Lorenzetti underlines .
“The results gained at  PalaTrento were very positive but they don’t keep us safe from bad surprises because the rules gives importance to both the matches – the coach from Fano explained - . We would make a terrible mistake, if we consider our task done by winning the home match for 3-0. On Saturday We will need to get on court with the right mentality and combative spirit because Fenerbahce can hinder us and will be supported by the court aspect”.
In 2017 CEV Cup Trentino Diatec hasn’t lost so far any set against an opponent in an away match, winning for 3-0 in Loimaa, Sastamala and Piacenza. For this match Lorenzetti won’t be able to rely on Antonov (who still traveled with the team to Turkey) and will dispel the doubts regarding the starting six right before the match. On court there are likely to be Stokr and Nelli in position 1 an Van de Voorde and Daniele Mazzone at the net center.
TRENTINO VOLLEY ON COURT IN TURKEY FOR THE THIRD TIME SO FAR This is the third away match in Turkey for the Club in via Trener and the first so far in Istanbul. The Club also has been in Ankara (December 15th  2004, when back then the Itas Diatec Trentino played the away match of the eight finals of CEV CUP, defeated for 1-3 and therefore eliminate from the competition) and  Izmir (November 6th 2013, where it won for 3-0 in the match of the first round of  CEV Champions League). On this occasion, Trentino Volley will play the 95th match in European Cups  (so far it has played 74 matches in Champions League, 3 in Top Teams and 17 in CEV), the 135th on an international level  (113 victories and 21 defeats), seeking the 74th victory out the national borders.
THE OPPONENTS
Fenerbahce will host for the first time Trentino Volley in its sport establishment, Burhan Felek Voleybol Salonu, with the aim of winning the match at most in four sets and play the golden set  so to continue its run on an international level. The Turkish championship has been full of accomplishments (victory of regular season), as happened in CEV Cup. The 3-0 at PalaTrento has been in fact the only K.O. in the tourney for Basic’s team. Previously the team  defeated with doubles 3-0 the Israelis of Mate-Asher Akko, the Bulgarians of Levski Sofia and the French of  Ajaccio for 3-0 and  3-1. In front of its supporters it has never lost a set and it will try to keep on this way also against Trentino Diatec. The players from Istanbul are used to such important matches; they won the 2014 edition of the Challenge Cup (winning against Latina in the final) and two Coppa Balcani (2009 and 2013). Players of Fenerbahce Sk Istanbul: 1. Selcuk Keskin (s), 2. Alen Pajenk (c), 3. Sabit Karaagac (c), 4. Alperay Demirciler (l), 5. Alen Sket (s), 6. Guillaume Quesque (s), 7. Metehan Bas, (o), 8. TRENTINO GETS THE ACCESS TO THE FINAL IF… In order to pass the fifth turn, the yellow-blue team needs two sets in the match; thanks to the 3-0 victory in Trento, Lanza and the team can also lost at the tie-break in order to avoid the golden set, set that would be played only if the home team wins in maximum 4 sets (3-0 or 3-1). The regulation is the same of the one in the Playoffs 12 of CEV Champions League. Who passes the turn will confront in the final the winner of Tours Vb-United Volleys Rheinmain (this match is scheduled in Germany; the French team won 3-0). The two matches of the final are scheduled between April 11th and 16th.

PRECEDENTS Trentino Volley and Fenerbache Sk Istanbul has confronted only once: on March 28th 2017 at PalaTrento. On Tuesday the result was favorable for the home team (3-0. Sets: 25-16, 25-12, 25-23) and Lanza was the best scorer (16 points). In relation to teams from Turkey, Trentino won 3 times and the other teams twice, also thanks to the two victories against Izmir in 2013 (double 3-0). The only two defeats were against Halkbank Ankara in the first round of the 2005 CEV Cup (double 3-1 defeat in December 2014).
