They will be played between today and tomorrow the six second legs matches of the Playoffs 12 of 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, the first knockout stage of the tournament after the League Round. The Italian champions of Trentino Diatec await the visit of the Belgian Volleyball Asse-Lennik, training already exceeded for 3-2 in Maaseik in the first leg match on February 17th. On Thursday, March 3rd at PalaTrento the kick-off is scheduled at 8.30 pm, broadcasted live on Radio Dolomiti and on  www.laola1.tv.
HERE TRENTINO DIATEC To continue their European run and keep dreaming the access to the fifth Final Four Champions League (on seven shares), the Trentino training must necessarily win the second leg tomorrow night. The success achieved in the fifth set in the first leg match at the Dome of Maaseik Lotto leaves in fact all options open with respect to the second leg. "The first leg result gives us no particular advantages: we have to win in any case with any score and therefore we can’t underestimate this commitment” - says the coach Radostin Stoytchev -. “We will face a difficult task, as it was the first leg. The Asse-Lennik Volleyball is a team that plays with quick combinations thanks to its expert setters and knows how to exalt in defense. We'll have to be good in preparing this challenge with all the attention of the case”.
As it happened already in the first leg match, the coach Radostin Stoytchev will be without two important players such as Captain Filippo Lanza and the opposite Mitar Djuric, stil struggling with their knee and shoulder physical problems. In their place on the field, space to Oleg Antonov and Gabriele Nelli, who already in Maaseik two weeks ago disputed a great match. Available all the other players, including Van de Voorde, the Belgian middle-blocker who will play a sort of new derby against a team of his home country. Before the game against Lennik, Trentino Diatec will still support two training sessions in PalaTrento: one today evening and the last one tomorrow morning.
For the Company of via Trener the one of tomorrow will be the thirty-first home game ever played in the CEV Champions League, where up to now has achieved success in twenty-seven circumstances. Internationally, the Via Fersina arena hasn’t recorded a defeat for eleven months: the last knock out was on April 7th, 2015 (Trento vs. Moscow 1-3). To find a defeat in the CEV Champions League instead, we have to go back even two years and one month: on February 13th, 2014, with the defeat against Belgorod in the return Playoffs 12.
TRENTINO DIATEC QUALIFIES FOR THE PLAYOFFS 6 IF...
To overcome the turn, the Champions of Italy need to win by any score the match of tomorrow evening; only in case of defeat at tie-break, it will be played the golden set (partial playoff to 15) while in case of victory of the Belgian 3-0 or 3-1, will be Lennik to obtain the qualification. Who will exceed the round will face the winner of the match between Belogorie Belgorod and Tours Vb (the return is played tonight after the Russian's victory 3-0 in the first leg match in France).
THE FORMULA AND OTHER MEETINGS Tomorrow's match will be valid for the return of Playoffs 12 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League; this series of events will arise already on Thursday evening the names of the six teams qualified for the Playoffs 6. The next round will be passed by the team that gets the most points over the two legs; points are awarded as in the league: 3 for a victory of 3-0 or 3-1, 2 for the success at tie-break, 1 for a defeat at tie-break. The Final Four will be played in Krakow (Poland) on April 16th-17th, 2016 and will also see the participation of the organizing company, Asseco Resovia Rseszow.
The other five challenges’ Program (in brackets the first leg result); tonight: Ziraat Bankasi Ankara vs. Belchatow (1-3), Zenit Kazan vs. Lotos Trefl Gdansk (1-3), Belogorie Belgorod vs. Tours Vb (3-0), Cucine Lube Civitanova vs. Arkas Izmir (3-0); tomorrow night: DHL Modena vs. Halkbank Ankara (0-3).
PREVIOUSLY The two clubs have only one one intersection in their archive, that is the one concerning the first leg match played at the Dome of Maaseik Lotto on February 17th and won by Trentino Volley at tie break with partial 23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 15-13, and with two opposite Nelli (17) and Overbeeke (28) best scorer. The budget against the Belgian teams only speaks of victories for Trentino Volley: 11 in as many games played, considering the four victories that the Company of via Trener got on Roeselare in the Playoffs 12 of the 2010 tournament (twice 3-1) and in the Challenge Round of 2015 CEV Cup (twice 3-2) and won with the six Maaseik all in the Champions League.
REFEREES the contest will be conducted by the Polish Marcin Herbik, first referee from Warsaw, and the Portuguese Helio Ormonde, second whistle of Capelas Acores. The Portuguese one is the only one that can boast a previous meeting with Trentino Volley, already refereed at Teruel vs. Trent 0-3 on January 18th, 2012 and Trento vs. Red Star Belgrade on October 25th, 2012.
RADIO AND INTERNET The match will be broadcasted live on Radio Dolomiti, partner stations of Trentino Volley, with first connection at approximately at 8.25 pm. On the website www.radiodolomiti.com you can see all the frequencies of the regional network and, at the same time, you can stream the full match, by clicking "on air".
