Trento, January 25th, 2016
It will be played tomorrow evening, Tuesday, January 26th, the last round of Pool C 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League. The first phase of the most important continental event for clubs (sixth day) will end for Trentino Diatec in Maaseik (Belgium), where they will be host by Noliko. The kick-off is scheduled at 8:30 pm, broadcasted live on Sky Sports 3, Radio Dolomiti and on www.laola1.tv.
HERE TRENTINO DIATEC Conquered with a round to spare for the seventh time in its history (over seven participations) to qualify for the knockout stage of the CEV Champions League, the yellow-blue team will reach Belgium once again with the need to win with any score to finish in first place their group, thus resisting the attempt to overtake the French of Tours. Any record would be worth much because the combination would provide a "softer" paper in the Playoffs 12 (the draw will be on Thursday 28th in Luxembourg); in the first round of the final fact the first classified will face a second of another group.
For this reason Radostin Stoytchev wants maximum concentration and the right approach to a nonetheless decisive match. "It'’s an important match, we want absolutely to win it to close our round as winners” - says the Bulgarian coach. -”Despite Noliko has nothing more to ask of this tournament, we know that will not be a simple task to win in Belgium. Our opponents have too many experienced players to think that will be that easy. It's an opportunity to prove that we deserves the record."
The Yellow-blues left to Maaseik already this morning and will reach the destination in the early afternoon after about four hours of travel between plane (Bergamo-Eindhoven) and coaches; at the Lotto Dome of Maaseik the team will train for two sessions: one this evening and one to the morning of game day.
FIFTH AWAY MATCH EVER IN BELGIUM FOR TRENTINO VOLLEY What has kicked off this morning and will end in the early afternoon of Wednesday 25th (the return to Trento it is expected around 5.00 pm) is the fifth trip to Belgium in the history of Trentino Volley, a Country where earlier the tricolor Club was always successful. The Yellow-blues are getting ready to reach Maaseik for the third time, where the Company of Via Trener has already played on January 31st, 2012 and on January 14th, 2014, in both occasions for the first leg round of Playoffs 12 of the editions 2012 and 2014 of Champions League won 3-0 and 3-1. Trentino Volley played in Belgium also in Roeselare on February 17th, 2010 (victory for 3-1 in first leg of Champions Playoffs 12) and, the most recent date, on March 11th, 2015 (3-2) in the return of the Challenge Cup Round CEV. A total of thirty-seven matches already sailed away from Trento in this competition, getting the victory in twenty-eight circumstances. The match against Noliko will be the 116^ International one in the yellow-blue history.
THE SITUATION OF POOL C Tomorrow will close the framework of Pool C with the last two matches in the program; the situation is defined for what concern the two teams qualified for the Playoffs 12 (Trento and Tours) but not yet for their final position: Champions of Italy and France are indeed tied for first place for number of victories (first discriminating, four each) but not for number of points (second discriminant, Trento ahead 13-11). Then, to close atop, the team of Stoytchev will need a hit with any score, result, undermines even a 3-0 victory of Tours in Thessaloniki (match scheduled always tomorrow evening beginning at 7:30 pm).
PREVIOUSLY With the match of tomorrow evening the official confrontations between the two companies will become six, that have played as opponents earlier in the Playoffs 12 of the 2012 and 2014 CEV Champions League in the first leg of the Pool C of this tournament. The budget is wholly in favor of Trentino Volley, able to give its opponents only 3 sets between the comparison of January 31st, 2012 (3-0 in Belgium), the one on of February 8th, 2012 (3-1 in PalaTrento), that of January 14th, 2014 (3-1 at the Lotto Dome of Maaseik), that of January 22nd, 2014 (again 3-1 in PalaTrento) and most recently on November 5th, 2015 (3-0 still in PalaTrento with partial of 25-18, 25-19 , 25-21 and Djuric mvp). The budget with teams of Belgium speaks only of victories, considering also the four successes that Trentino Volley got on Roeselare Playoffs in 12 of the 2010 tournament (double 3-1) and in the Challenge Round of 2015 CEV Cup (double 3 -2).
