This morning in Luxembourg the matches of the second round (the so-called Playoffs 12) of 2016 DenizBank CEV Volleyball Champions League were made official. In the direct knockout stage of the maximum continental trophy, Trentino Diatec Champion Italy will face the Belgians of Axis-Lennik, in the first leg match which will be played away and the return match in PalaTrento. For the third time in six appearances in the Playoffs 12, Trentino Volley will face at this board stage of the game a Belgian team: earlier editions had happened in 2012 and 2014, always against Maaseik, succeeding in both cases to go through.
The dates: the first leg match of the Playoffs 12 will be staged between February 16th and 18th in Belgium, the return one between March 1st and 3rd in PalaTrento. For the definition of the precise date and time of the game you have to wait for the confirmation of the individual companies, in accordance with the respective national federations and local television stations.
Will access to the quarterfinals (called Playoffs 6), scheduled in the second half of March, the six teams that will win both games; only if the two teams have both won a game apiece at tie-break, or if they have both won a game apiece at most in four sets will be played at the end of the second race at the Golden set in 15. The team that will exceed shift between Trentino Diatec and Asse-Lennik will face the winner of Belgorod vs. Tours.
In the same appointment was made official also location to the Final Four and the organizer of this event. The first office qualified for the semi-finals to be played in Krakow (Poland) on April 16th is Asseco Resovia Rzeszow, the winners of Pool G.
