On Tuesday evening the toast in Bar Pasi with the fans and the subsequent gala dinner between players, managers and staff at Forsterbräu in via Oss Mazzurana in Trento ended officially the 2015/16 season of Trentino Volley, the sixteenth of activity.
In the next few hours a large chunk of the Yellow-blues squad will leave the city to go home and enjoy a little deserved rest; there will, however, also someone who return to action as early as a few days. This morning in fact Matey Kaziyski left for Japan, where the beginning of next week will play the Kurowashiki Cup with the shirt of JTEKT Stings, the company where he played the entire season in the Sol Levante Championship.
Departing soon there will be then also Solé (who will return to Argentina to spend a week in Rosario with the family before starting to work with the Seleccion for the World League) and Urnaut who in seven days should join the Slovenian National Team of which he is captain. On Friday instead Van de Voorde and Djuric, will return respectively to Belgium and Greece, while the Italian players (except for Colaci) will remain around Trento until the end of the week, waiting to know the commitments with the national team that could concern the majority of them. The setter Bratoev, finally, will have a holiday, and during next summer in Italy will not be committed with Bulgaria, and for ten days will visit some of the most beautiful cities of our country.
"We didn’t finish the season as we wanted to, we could have done more” - said Mitar Djuric to Trentino Volley TV on the sidelines of the toast with the fans-. “We played many finals but there is always lack something to bring home the victory of at least one of these; we were not very lucky but my hope is that next season we can claim a credit from this point of view. The most significant moment? The challenge of Krakow with Kazan.”
"But we must look at the good things that this season has left us” - added in this regard Tine Urnaut - “and I think for a young team like ours get to play until the last points the final of the Champions League was something really big."
