Aidan Zingel, first season with Trentino Volley

The third seasonal appointment of “Trentino Volley in FM_dj per un giorno”, the transmission which Radio Dolomiti dedicates every week to Diatec Trentino, has put has put Aidan Zingel in the spotlight. The day after the great victory versus Monza in the quarter finals of Del Monte Coppa Italia 2018, the Australian middle-blocker of Trentino Volley has told the event during the 20-minute-transmission on the yellow-blue partner network.
“After the defeat of Sunday with Milano we were upset and frustrated but we knew that we had to set aside these feelings quickly because the match of Wednesday night was even more important - he told -. Actually we have been very good in starting fresh with Monza, immediately finding enthusiasm and a convincing teamwork: just what we needed to win the quarter final and become confident”.
"Winning the first set has been the key of the match, the most fought partial and the one in which we have been definitely more contracted” - continued Zingel -. From that point on we became more confident in our strategy. We have to improve a lot, finding a point of balance in the fundamentals of service and wall, which until now have been too uncertain. In the looker room however there’s a positive atmosphere and full of energy, now we have to think of the match with Padova, which is a team we already dealt with in Schio and has given us some pretty hard times”.
