An hour of exercises at the swimming pool in Gardolo, Trento North, concluded the fifth week of preparation for the 2015/16 Trentino Volley season. The Italian champions ended the first 35 days of training, by greeting and thanking Luka Suljagic and Sergio Noda Blanco for their collaboration (on Friday they have completed their period of work in Trento) and by welcoming Davide Lama .
This weekend the physiotherapist from Brescia, who until last week was busy with the Italian National team, has inaugurated his fourth season with Trentino Volley joining the technical and medical staff, who are following the five Yellow-blues already available (De Angelis, Djuric, Nelli, Daniele and Tiziano Mazzone) and the three Bulgarians players "guests" (Georgiev, Mechkarov and Seganov).
"With the Italian National Team I lived a particularly intense summer, especially beacuse we supported various intercontinental transfers such as those in Australia, Brazil and finally in Japan” - said Lama -; “at the same time was a period of satisfactory work because we were able to win the Olympics qualification. Working every day closely with the team, I could follow with attention the four players of Trentino Volley, knowing better also Oleg Antonov. From the physical point of view they are all in good condition, although inevitably a little tiredness emerges because the 2015 World Cup was very tiring. But now I want to focus on the season with Trento; starting from the end of the month, we will play every three days and then we will certainly work hard but we start with very important and positive assumptions".
Diatec Trentino will have a day and a half of rest and will return to train in PalaTrento on Monday morning for the first of the ten sessions scheduled for the sixth week of preparation; a period that will be very similar to the one that just ended, which saw the players load a lot from a physical point of view, without neglecting the technical and tactical side.
