Diatec Trentino finishes its pre-championship with a painless defeat during the tie break in the friendly international match played tonight at the PalaResia in Bolzano. At Simone Giannelli's home, after more than two hours and a quarter of game and a fifth infinite set (lasted 36 minutes!) the Germans of Friedrichshafen got away with it, but Lorenzetti (who kept Kovacevic at rest) can still be satisfied of the many points scored during such a long and successful match.
The more convinced applause of South Tyroleans, as it was natural, has been not so much for the good work of either team but for the most awaited player: Simone Giannelli was in fact greeted in a very extraordinary way by his city, to which he dedicated to the post-match meeting all the requests for photos, selfies and autographs. Among the yellow-blues is to be emphasized Lanza's great performance (24 points with 67% in attack) and the usual good vein of central players in attack: Zingel closed with 70% net (and 3 walls), Eder with 65%, with 4 walls and 4 aces.
Significant is the contribution of Vectors, in the first three sets in which the Marchigiano technician employed him; Despite the duration of the match, it is important to point out the very low number of attack errors: just ten (4 of Trento, 6 of the Germans) in five sets.
