Trento, November 4th, 2015

The 2016 CEV Volleyball Champions League is going to begin. In fact, on Thursday, November 5th it will be played the first tournament of the League Round of the most important continental event for clubs, that Trentino Volley returns to play after one season of absence. The Italian Champions will make their debut at PalaTrento, facing the Belgian Noliko Maaseik in the match valid for the Pool C. The kick-off will be at 8.30 pm, live broadcasted on Sky Sports Plus, Radio Dolomiti and audio and video streaming  on www.laola1.tv.
HERE TRENTINO DIATEC
360 days after the last time, PalaTrento will hosts again the CEV Champions League, that in the past has ensured great emotions and show to the audience. The history, among other things, starts right from where it finished, since the last Yellow-blue success for 3-1 refers to a match played at PalaTrento in February 2014 as the second leg of the Playoffs 12. Just the result that would be needed to start the seventh adventure for this competition and look to the next journey with confidence. With the qualification to the second phase, which is ensured only for those who will reach the first place in each group, the home match against the Maaseik is already essential, and will be faced once again without being able to use the Slovenian spiker  Tine Urnaut.
"It's a difficult period not only for the amount of commitments that await us, but also for the training problems that we are encountering” - explains Radostin Stoytchev -, “so for this reason, what it will count in this appointment will be only the three points. The Maaseik is a valuable team, which relies on many elements of experience and rank, who already faced the Italian league such as Wijsmans, Bontje, Raymaekers and Pinheiro. I do not hide, just to confirm their value, that few years ago, I would have wanted few of them in our squad. So this is a very competitive training but I am convinced that with everyone's commitment we can still do it."
In the list to be delivered to the CEV, which admits only twelve players on the scoresheet, Carlo De Angelis could probably be added - as already happened in the last two games - as the fourth hitter and not as libero.
Tomorrow Trentino Diatec will complete the preparation for this match, which will see the debut in the CEV Champions League of five Yellow-blue players: Bratoev, Giannelli, Daniele and Tiziano Mazzone and De Angelis.
PALATRENTO BREATHES AGAIN EUROPEAN AIR Tomorrow night PalaTrento host the thirty-eighth European home game in the history of Trentino Volley, the twenty-eighth of all time in the Champions League, where so far won in twenty-four circumstances (only 20 defeats in January 2010 against Olympiacos, on December 14th, 2011 against the Kedzierzyn-Kozle and on February 13th 2014 against Belgorod), giving opponents just 16 sets. The last home victory in the CEV Champions League dates back to 21 months ago, against the Maaseik: on January 22nd, 2014 for 3-1 victory in the return match of the Playoffs 12.
PREVIOUSLY With the match of tomorrow evening, they will become five the official confrontations between the two companies, which already played against each other earlier in the Playoffs 12 of the 2012 and 2014 CEV Champions League. The prognostic is wholly in favor of Trentino Volley, able to give their opponents just 3 sets between the match of January 31st, 2012 (3-0 in Belgium), the one of February 8th, 2012 (3-1 in PalaTrento), that one of January 14th, 2014 (3-1 at the Dome of Maaseik Lotto) and the latest dated January 22nd, 2014 (again 3-1 in PalaTrento). The prognostic with teams of Belgium speaks only of victories, considering also the four successes that Trentino Volley got on Roeselare Playoffs in 12 of the 2010 tournament (double 3-1) and in the Challenge Round of 2015 CEV Cup (double 3 -2).
REFEREES The contest will be conducted by Andrey Zenovich, first Russian referee from Rostov on Don and from the turkish Mehmet Ersin Altiparmak, second referee of Izmir. The only one that had previous experience with Trentino Volley is Zenovich, who directed two match of the Club World Cup 2012 featuring the yellow-blue colors: Trento-Al Rayan 3-2 on October 13th, and Trento- Tigres de Uanl 3-1 the day after.
