The second semi-final of the Del Monte® Italian Cup 2016, scheduled on Saturday, February 6th starting at 5:30 pm at the Mediolanum Forum of Assago, will propose a challenge that earlier in the competition had already staged four times but never at this stage of the game board. In the past Trentino Volley and Lube found themselves facing a game to the highest National trophy twice in the quarter-final (in Bolzano in 2003 and in Ferrara in 2005) and for the same number in the Final (in Rome and in Assago for the edition 2012 and 2013, always won by Trento). The last direct confrontation in the Italian Cup, coincidentally, just at the Forum on December 30th, 2012 when Stoytchev’s team prevailed for 3-1  getting its third successful trophy ever.
With the comparison of early February Lube will rise at share 47 matches against Trento, equaling Cuneo and becoming the third team addressed several times by the Club of Via Trener behind Modena (which has now been at share 57) and Piacenza (48). The currently one for Civitanova is the 21th participation in the Italian Cup of Serie A1, previously won four times: 2000/01, 2002/03, 2007/08, 2008/09.
