On Saturday, a 3-0 victory over Verona, till then the strongest team in SuperLega, let ENERGY T.I. Diatec Trentino show their dominance at home and prove themselves to be ever winning in front of their fans in this season.
At PalaTrento, after being last defeated nine and a half months ago (Trento – Latina 1-3 on 13th April 2014), the blue and yellow team have so far scored 11 victories in as many games in the years 2014/15: 7 in SuperLega, 3 in CEV Volleyball Cup and 1 in Coppa Italia with 7 victories scoring 3-0, 2 scoring 3-1 and 2 scoring 3-2.
The seasonal number is highly important given that the first 4 teams in the rankings of SuperLega (Modena, Treia, Verona and Perugia) have already played in the facility in via Fersina, with a score of only 1 point and a total of 3 sets (two for Treia, one for Perugia). The fans at PalaTrento have always celebrated the team’s victories so far and enjoyed ENERGY T.I. Diatec Trentino’s high performance.
The blue and yellow team’s strength in home games is a distinctive feature that always characterized Trentino Volley with coach Radostin Stoytchev: in his seven seasons, including the one underway, as the coach of the Club in via Trener, the Bulgarian has won 132 games in 143 played at home, thus giving the fans success in 93% of the matches. An astonishing percentage that, in the seasons 2007/08 (the one of the debut), 2010/11 (the one of the Championship, Champions and World Championship treble) and 2012/13 (the one before the current one) has reached its peak and experienced only one defeat. The last home KO with Stoytchev dates even back to 7th October 2012 (Trento – Vibo Valentia 1-3); following this defeat a series of 31 victories in a row has started and is still going on and has been interrupted for only one season (the one of 2013/14 spent in Turkey to coach Ankara).
