Diatec Trentino opens the second leg of the 2015/16 Super League UnipolSai regular season with a hard-fought home victory against Monza. After losing at the tie-break last Wednesday in France, the Italian champions did well to immediately find the fighting spirit of the best days to gain the eighth victory of the season at PalaTrento in as many matches played, confirming the good performance between friendly walls.
The 3-1 victory against the Brianza team in the twelfth absolute championship’s round, it will allow the team Stoytchev to stay in third place alone in the standings, distancing Verona and Perugia (which this evening have played in direct confrontation) and to approach with positive feelings the insidious transfer to Molfetta on Tuesday (it will be played the first leg of the Italian Cup). In the second half, after the dull performance of Tours, especially Mitar Djuric; the Greek opposite, in the end MVP thanks to 21 points including three blocks and 51% at the net, has literally gave a great contribution to his team in the worst moment of the match, that is when Trento was under 0- 1 and 20-22 in the second set and when Monza was giving the impression, ahead 11-16 in the fourth period, to be able to extend at least the tie break contention. This didn’t happen because the Italian champions have offset the difficulties in receiving and service fielding great determination and character beside unleashing a cold Lanza in the important moments and taking advantage once again by inserting Bratoev. The Bulgarian, thrown back into the fray in the worst moment of the fourth set, turned the tide of the result with his services, he directed well the team and took off well satisfied to close the match with a decisive on Rousseaux.
