After Friday night's match Monza-Molfetta (3-1), the other matches of the eleventh week of the regular season SuperLeague UnipolSai 2016/17 will be played on Sunday the 20th of November. The league leader Diatec Trentino will play at PalaPanini in Modena in the traditional “A22 derby” against Azimut, one of the most awaited events of the first round. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m., live running commentary on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the Lega Volley Channel at the following internet address www.sportube.tv.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO Three days after Piacenza's match the yellow-blue team is back to Emilia Romagna for another big match for the high ranking positions. On the Italian Champion's court, Lanza and his teammates will try to safeguard their leadership, gained only one week ago thanks to the win against Civitanova, also against the third power of the championship. In last seasons this game was always well-balanced and thrilling and it was often a critical step to award the various titles of the Italian volleyball.

All this without forgetting the quality of play of the Azimut Modena and the fact they lost two matches in a row and they will win this match to wipe out the defeats. We had only one day to prepare this game, but I'm sure that in matches like this what makes the difference is the attitude and the mindset more than technique and tactics”.
The whole team will travel to Modena this evening, after the afternoon training at PalaTrento. Also this time the coach will have only abundance problems by choosing the starting six. In Emilia Romagna the Diatec Trentino will play the match number 677 of its history, the away match number 369 with 231 victories. Statistically it will be a particular game for Lanza, who will wear the captain's band for the 65th times, one more than Marco Meoni (still at 64); in the list of who have wear it the most only Kaziyski (204), Birarelli (91) and Grbic (85) have worn it more than him.
RIVALS After two losses in a row in the league (home against Monza and away in Molfetta, last Sunday) that make it fall from the first to the third place in the championship, Azimut Modena tries to win against an usual opponent to get the qualification to the quarter finals of Coppa Italia – that is guaranteed only to the first four teams at the end of the first round of the championship. The introduction of the middle blockers Holt and Le Roux (it is a toss up with Piano), from this point of view has strenghthen still further the team.
PRECEDENTS Modena is the Club in the whole league that Trentino Volley had met the most in its more than sixteen years of activity; the statistics speaks of 63 official matches, the outcome is favourable to Diatec Trentino: 36-27. Tomorrow's match will be the eighth in the last eleven months, five of which were won by Modena. The only two vicories of Trento in 2016 were the ones played at PalaPanini, where Trento has won fourteen times in thirty-one games: 11th February (tie break win) and 21th April (3-1 win in game 3 of the quarter finals). It is more than three years that Trentino Volley do not lose in away matches against Azimut; last home victory for Modena traced back on 12th January 2013; Diatec Trentino won the next three matches played away: 3-0 on 27th November 2013, 3-1 on 21th March 2015 and 3-2 on 11th February 2016. The only precedent in this season, played at PalaPanini, smiled at Azimut: 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23) in the semi-final of Del Monte® Supercup played the 23 of September.
THE REFEREES The match will be directed by Matteo Cipolla (from Palermo, in Serie A since 1997) and Luca Sobrero (from Savona, in Serie A since 1996, international since 2004). They are at their first direction together in SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17, the eighth for Cipolla (last precedent with Trento on 24th February, home win against Milano 3-1), the seventh for Sobrero, who has already refereed Diatec Trentino in the tie break win against Padova, last 18th October.
RADIO, INTERNET AND TV The match will be reported live by Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volley. During “Campioni di Sport”, the sport programm of the broadcasting station of via Missioni Africane, there will be link with Modena.
