Super League UnipolSai 2014/15 will be played between today and tomorrow on the twentieth round of the regular season. On this occasion the ENERGY TI Diatec Trentino will be on stage again in PalaTrento hosting the Top Volley Latin, in one of the most interesting matchs of the whole day. The match will start at 6pm on Sunday, February 22nd and will be broadcasted live from Radio Dolomites, and streamed on the internet by League Volleyball Channel at www.sportube.tv.
The Trentino team strives to continue the winning streak in February (two wins 3-0 in the championship in all games played) challenging Latina team that in recent seasons has often seen difficulties both at home and away. The points at stake in tomorrow's match count very much for the Yellow-Blues - chasing the seventeenth statement of nineteen games played in the regular season to be confirmed at the top - as for the opponents after the defeat against Verona, who would like to immediately resume their game (three wins in five games).
The Assistant Coach of Trentino Volley Dario Simoni (survivng the previous four seasons in Lazio) expects a tough challenge, as he admitted during the interview with Trentino Volley TV: "From the technical point of view we can expect a difficult match taking into account the unquestionable quality of the Latina team. The Top Volleyball team has many alternatives in each role, thanks to the excellent servemen in both jump-serve and in jump and float serve, with effective blockers. The leg match, which only won in tie-break, after being down 0-2, so from this point of view, we can comprehend the degree of difficulty we will face; most likely on Sunday you will see a similar game in the intensity and value of the two teams".
Insupport of the team Stoytchev, we will once again influence PalaTrento, where the ENERGY TI Diatec Trentino, continues its winning streak of thirteen consecutive games and not s single lose since April 13th, 2014 from the hands of the Latina team. The team will complete the preparation of the race between the sessions this afternoon (video and technical) and finishing tomorrow without any time wasted. On that occasion the Trentino Volley takes the field for the 591^ official match in its history, following the 410^ victory ever (the 144^ home games in the regular season).
PREVIOUSLY Latina and Trentino Volley teams have on file played 29 official game, who placed in the congregation, seventh place in the ranking of teams that challenged the greatest number of times the Club of Via Trener. The great results of 21-8 in Trento, which was able to conquer the field of Lazio in nine occasions (8 to Palabianchini, 1 to PalaCesaroni Genzano - facility used in the 2001/02 season, one at the indoor stadium of Frosinone), including the match of the first round - schedualed a comeback by tie break with partial scores of 25-21, 26-24, 24-26, 20-25, 14-16 and Lanza (24 points mvp). The last precedent in favor of Latin America, however, is just referring to the most recent game played at PalaTrento: April 13, 2014 the then team coached by Dario Simoni prevailed 1-3 (28-26, 20-25, 31-33, 23-25) in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the playoffs valid for the assignment of the fifth. Fourteen games played between the walls of the friends against Lazio, Trento has won eleven: with the last one on November 23rd, 2013 (3-2).
REFEREES The meeting will be directed by Roberto Boris (first referee Vigevanp - Pavia, in Serie A since 1997 and internationally since 2010) and Mauro Goitre (Collegno - Torino in Serie A since 2008). The two whistles are at their third joint direction in Super League season UnipolSai 2014/15, the tenth staff and for Boris (who in this regular season has already refereed Citta di Castello-Trent 0-3 of 14 December and Trento-Perugia 3-1 18th January), both for Goitre, whose only crossed paths with Trentino Volley in this regular season, back in the first day (October 19th, home victory with Padova).
