The coach of Trentino Volley will have the entire staff, which over the last three days has intensified work in the gym to be ready for the next three matches (on Wednesday to PalaTrento comes Ravenna and then on Saturday there will be the semi-final against Lube). The team will leave for Piacenza today early afternoon after sustaining a technical-tactical session of two hours at PalaTrento and will perform on Saturday morning the usual pre-race at PalaBanca.
In Emilia Trentino Volley will play the twenty official match of the season 2015/16 and will go in search of the 216^ victory in its history; in a great moment of shape there Mitar Djuric: in 2016 the Greek opposite has already achieved 104 points in the past five matches due to his excellent vein realization number 1200 with the jersey of the tricolor.
PREVIOUSLY Piacenza, in cohabitation with Cuneo, is the second absolute most repeatedly challenged opponent in official matches for Trentino Volley with 47 matches; before the Emilian there is only Modena (56). The budget smiles to Trento to 30-17, thanks to six victories in the last eight games; LPR hasn’t exceed Diatec Trentino since March 8th, 2014 (3-1 Italian Cup semi-final in Bologna) and then has suffered four consecutive stops (two in Trento and two in PalaBanca). In Piacenza Trentino Volley won only ten of a total of twenty-one meetings played: the most recent was on April 4th, 2015 (3-0). In the match of the first round, played at PalaTrento on November 12th, clear victory of the hosts in three sets (partial of 25-21, 25-18, 25-14) with Lanza MVP (19 points and 58% at the net).
REFEREES The meeting will be directed by Matteo Cipolla (first referee of Palermo, in the highest category since 1997) and Fabrizio Saltalippi (from Perugia, in Serie A since 1995 and internationally since 2000). The two whistles are in their first season joint direction; the eighth for the Sicilian, who has already refereed Diatec Trentino in this regular season in the first round in Monza (3-1 win on November 28th), the ninth for the Umbrian who directed the Italian champions at the 3-0 successes in Forli (on November 15th) and Molfetta (first leg of Italian Cup quarterfinals, on December 22nd).
