Gabriele Nelli and Daniele Mazzone during the match of Sora
ph. Legavolley
Trento, October 10th 2016
On Sunday evening Diatec Trentino broke the ice with the success in three sets at PalaGlobo in official away matches, but at the same time confirmed his first place in the ranking and equalled a particular statistical record, spotted earlier only two times in sixteen seasons of activity. In fact, only at the beginning of the Championship of 2005/06 and 2011/12, Trentino Volley achieved two consecutive victories without losing any set against the adversaries: the double 3-0 against Vibo Valentia (at PalaTrento) and Sora was also recorded between September 25th and October 2nd 2005 (home victory against Padova and away success in Macerata) and between September 25th and 28th 2011 when the Yellow-blue won against Monza in front of their supporters and then they won three sets also in Padua.
Precisely this city will be the next destination of Diatec Trentino; they will arrive on Friday October 14th for the anticipation of the third round of regular season, scheduled at 8.30 p.m. (live on RAI Sport 1 and Radio Dolomiti). On that occasion the team of Lorenzetti will look for another positive result in order to close the first part of SuperLega successfully, before focusing on the Club World Championship for a whole week.
The match against Kioene Padova has been automatically brought 2 days forward to enable Trentino Volley to fly to Brazil on Sunday evening and play the Club World Championship 2016 (from October 18th to October 23th). This will be the last week of preparation for the world event before arriving to Belo Horizonte/Betim (venue of the world tournament for the fourth year in a row); Diatec Trentino will do three training sessions in the weights room (on Tuesday morning, Thursday afternoon and Sunday morning) and three training sessions of technique and tactics on the main field (on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon).
