Thanks to tonight victory in game 2, Diatec Trentino gets to the semifinal of Championship Play Off UnipolSai 2017. On Sunday the 19th of March will see Diatec Trentino in the semifinal for the tenth times in seventeen years of history for the Club of via Trener, the ninth in the last ten seasons. This goal was already achieved in the season 2005/06, 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2014/15 and in the last one: in the first two cases the team got the qualification beating Modena, in three games (2-1) in 2006 and in two games in 2008; in the third case Vibo Valentia had to give way to Itas Diatec Trentino (3-0 win), in the fourth case Verona (again for 3-0), in the fifth San Giustino (3-0), in the sixth San Giustino and Roma with a double 3-0, in the seventh again Vibo Valentia (3-0), in the eight and ninth Molfetta (2-0 and 3-2).
In seven occasions Trentino Volley gets to the final: in the 2008 play-off, after beating in two games M. Roma Volley, in 2009, winning against Cuneo with three wins in three matches, in 2010 beating Macerata 3-1, in 2011 against Modena after five hard-fought matches (3-2), in 2012 winning against Latina in two games (double 3-0), in 2013 beating Cuneo 3-0 and in 2015 weeding out Perugia 2-1. In 2006 the yellow-blue team lost the semifinal against Sisley Treviso in four games, while in 2016 the yellow-blue were defeated in semifinal by Modena in four matches (1-3).
Altogether Trentino Volley played in the semifinal of Championship Play Off twenty-nine matches, winning nineteen times: eight away wins (two in Macerata and in Cuneo, one in Modena, Treviso, Roma and Frosinone) and eleven home wins (against Latina, Roma, Macerata, two times against Perugia and three times against Modena and Cuneo).
