Radostin Stoytchev and Simone Giannelli during a CEV Champions League Match

Trento, February 15th, 2016
February does not reserve breaks for the Italian champions. The full program of this first part of the month inevitably compels Stoytchev’s team to tighten the pace in the gym; less than twenty-four hours after the beautiful and important home statement over Exprivia Molfetta in the 18th round of Super League UnipolSai, Trentino Diatec is then returned back in the early afternoon today to PalaTrento to play a split between weights and technical training in preparation for Wednesday evening's match in Belgium.
After Super League and Italian Cup, Giannelli and his teammates will confront the European stage of the first leg of the Playoffs 12 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League played in Maaseik, the field chosen by the volleyball Asse-Lennik for this race, due to the unavailability of the facility usually used for February 17th. Therefore, in a completely new way, Trentino Volley will play for the second consecutive time a match at the Lotto Dome, where on January 26th ended the group phase with a great 3-0 victory.
The one that took place today, was then the last session before departure for Belgium, which will be on Tuesday morning with a scheduled flight Bergamo-Eindhoven. Precisely for this reason the Yellow-blue team will reach already on Monday evening the airport Orio al Serio, spend the night at a hotel in the immediate vicinity and then tomorrow will embark for Holland where they will land around 12.50 pm, then will move to Belgium by coach. In Maaseik Trentino Diatec will occur without Filippo Lanza, who will remain in Italy to carry out examinations and individual work to overcome the problems in his left knee that afflict him for some time; during the yellow-blues starting six there will be again new space for Oleg Antonov, former star of two excellent performances in recent races with Modena and Molfetta, and captain entrusted in this case to Mitar Djuric.
In Belgium Trentino Diatec will be looking for a positive result that allows them to keep intact the ability to obtain the qualification for the Playoffs 6; the regulation provides that Lennik and Trento will defy a double comparison: only the team which will win both games, pass the turn; if the two teams have both won one game apiece at tie-break, or if they have both won one game apiece at most in four sets, will be played at the end of the second race the Golden sets to 15.
The first leg will be played on Wednesday at 8:30 pm and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports (channel 204 of Sky's satellite platform), Radio Dolomiti and www.laola1.tv; the second leg match is instead scheduled on March 3rd in PalaTrento at 8.30 pm (match included in the subscription, also active on internet on http://www.vivaticket.it/index.php?nvpg[evento]&id_show=81747).
