What Simone Gianelli, Filippo Lanza and Matteo Piano have experienced Tuesday evening at Sforza Castle in Milan can be considered a preview of the match that they are going to play Saturday afternoon in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana 2016. The three players, winners of the silver medal at the Olimpic Games in Rio 2016 with the National Volleyball team, took part in the prestigious “Charity Dinner” organized by Giorgio Armani at the event “Djokovic & Friends”, which is being held today and tomorrow at Forum di Assago in order to collect charity funds. The night in Milan, in which the three players have participated after they have regularly trained with their own teams, made it possible for the setter and the captain of Trentino Volley to meet, shortly before the semi-final, one of their team-mates of the National Volleyball team and at the same time one of their opponents that they will face on Semptember 24th. This event has been mainly an occasion to bring men’s volleyball in an extremely important setting. In fact, celebrities of the world of show business and sport have participated: Serena Williams, Michelle Hunziker, Fabio Volo, Barbara d’Urso and even other Olympic athletes such as Daniele Lupo or famous tennis players like Fognini.
