Simone Giannelli spent his morning in Trento before leaving for Pesaro (where the Italian National Team will gather this evening). After the lucky seasonal debut with the Italian kit in Naples, where next weekend Italy gain two 3-1 victories versus Argentine and Japan, the setter from Bolzano spent few hours in its adopted city and told to Trentino Volley Tv something about its moment and the one of Italy, which next weekend will play in sequence versus Iran, Poland and Brazil. He doesn’t forget however Trentino Volley, which remains in his thoughts.
“I’m happy about the first performance that we showed in Vesuvio Cup in Naples – explained to the yellow-blue web tv - ; the test matches versus strong teams such as Japan and Argentina made us understand a lot our skills. The starting point is good but we surely have to further grow from many points of view; there’s a lot of curiosity about what we will able to do in World League. In this first week of training me and Vettori tried to find again our harmony, since it has been a long time we haven’t played together; we have time and mutual availability to make it grow and all of this will also be useful for Trento”.
“Trentino Volley’s market goes on as it should – continued Simone - ; with the arrive of not only Vettori, but also Kozamernik and Eder the team will be another time be able to play to win every kind of match. I don’t personally know the two new middle-blockers but I perfectly know that they are high-value players; Eder will also help us out with his great experience, since we’re talking about an Olympic champion. I’m looking forward to playing versus him on Sunday in Pesaro: that match will be a very important test for us to show our skills”.
For the first weekend of World League 2017 also three other Trentino Volley’s players will be present: the captain Filippo Lanza, Luca Vettori and Oleg Antonov. Tiziano Mazzone will be, instead, enjoying a weekend off.
