Just a bit more than two weeks and then time will come for Diatec Trentino to start working for the new season. The first step for 2017/2018 agonistic season is in fact scheduled for Thursday August 17th, when the team will gather at PalaTrento.
Unlike the previous season, the first part of the preparation will be characterized by the presence of a reduced number of players: with eight players still busy with their national teams (Giannelli, Lanza and Vettori with Italia, Kovacevic with Serbia, Kozamernik with Slovenia, Teppan with Estonia, Eder with Brazil and Hoag with Canada) will probably be only five yellow-blue players present from the first training session.
The coach Angelo Lorenzetti together with the new staff composed by Francesco Petrella, Dante Boninfante, Alessandro Russo and Alessandro Guazzaloca will then be able to count on the setter Pier Paolo Partenio, on the spiker Oreste Cavuto ( who is working during this period as an instructor at BIG Camp on Monte Bondone), on the middle-blocker Aidan Zingel and on the liberos Matteo Chiappa and Daniele De Pandis.
In the first period it will so be possible to focus with particular attention on the physical preparation and on the individual techinque, waiting the second half of September tp focus on the team game towards a season full of appointments in Supercoppa Italiana, SuperLega Unipolsai, Coppa Italia and Cev Champions League.
