Trento, March 3rd, 2015

The team has returned to work, this morning, in PalaTrento, anticipating in the next eight days to face the two time champions, the Belgium del Knack Roeselare, for the Challenge Round of 2015 CEV Cup. In this week, the team will focus on this particular opponent, considering their outcome next weekend (22nd day) in Super League.
After nearly a month and a half of break, the European adventure with Trentino Volley starts with a new double knockout challenge: to qualify for the semi-final and then continue their race in the second most important club competition to collect more points from the Belgians, over the two games. The leg match will be played on Thursday, March 5th, in PalaTrento starting from 8:30pm (this game is excluded from season ticket holders, pre-sale tickets can be purchased daily at the Trentino Volley Point); The advantage of playing a ‘home’ game will increase their chances of wining, and less to worry about in their ‘away’ game in Belgium, on  March 11th.
Concerning the 30th match of the official season (which saw twenty championships played, with three for the Italian Cup, and 6 with the CEV Cup, forecasting twenty-five wins and four defeats), Radostin Stoytchev, has planned for this week, a double session in a day with a workout, and for tomorrow afternoon before finishing the customary morning match. This will accurately assess the condition of Filippo Lanzas’ left hand and to decide if he can actually play that day. without  other commitments during the weekend, the Yellow-Blues will rest on Friday and will train twice on Saturday (weights and tactics) and on Sunday afternoon at the Sanbapolis gym  before heading to Belgium next Tuesday morning.
Continuing the winning streak of this tournament (six wins to record this season) with ‘home’ games (which lasted fourteen games) was not simple: Roeselare landed in the Challenge Round of 2015 CEV Cup after the last moment to enter in the Playoffs of the 12th Champions League, finishing third in Pool A of the Main Phase in which there was also Piacenza (losing 3-2 in Belgium), with last Saturdays finish, to gain first in the regular season of its national championship with seventeen victories in eighteen games altogether addressed and eleven points for first runner, Antwerp. Coach Emil Rousseaux, has the most prominent names (with pink attire) in Italian volleyball known by the fans : like Hendrik Tuerlinckx (from Perugia in the 2007/08 season - holder of the best scorer in the Champions Knack with 110 points 6 matches) and with their main striker Matthijs Verhanneman, a player that Trentino Volley bought in 2010 but transferred to Ravenna and then to Molfetta, but never actually used him in their ranks. In his experience in Puglia, in 2013 Verhanneman, he rejoined the Roeselare team, which he had already played for between 2006 and 2011 and gained notary by the leaders of the Yellow-Blues, for the two matches he played in. The two teams have already been  opponents in the second round of the 2010 European Champions League (previously won by the Club of Via Trener): twice to prevail 3-1 with Yellow-Blues on the 9th February in PalaTrento, and the 17th in Belgium.
