At around 5:30 pm, immediately after concluding the second workout of the day (weights in the morning, in the afternoon technique), the team Champion of Italy will be traveling together with sixty fans to Verona. From Valerio Catullo Airport the Yellow-blues then will embark on a private flight that will lead the whole group directly in Krakow, going back to Poland just over a year since the last experience in that country (on March 24th, 2015 the Yellow-blues overpowered 3-2 in Kedzierzyn Kozle in the first leg match of 2015 CEV Cup semi-final).
Trentino Diatec will remain in Poland until Sunday night, then will return to Italy immediately after the closure of the Final Four. The first contact with Tauron Arena, the facility for more than fifteen places where the Company of via Trener will play for the first time in its history, will take place on Friday evening at about 5:30 pm, when the Yellow-blues will play a lasting workout of about 90 minutes. Shortly before the session, at 4.45 pm in the press room of the structure, there will be the presentation of the event conference - attended by all the captains and coaches of the four teams participating.
In Poland, where the Club Champion of Italy already has come for nine times (Lodz, Czestochowa, Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Rzeszow cities so far affected), Radostin Stoytchev will bring all the fourteen squad’s players: the setters Giannelli and Bratoev, opposites Djuric and Nelli, the spikers Lanza, Antonov, Tiziano Mazzone, Urnaut and Kaziyski, the middle-blockers Solé, Daniele Mazzone and Van de Voorde, the liberos Colaci and de Angelis. Despite being unable to compete in the CEV Champions League matches because rationed when the lists for the CEV Champions League had already been closed, Matey Kaziyski will be part of the group, to live from the sidelines with the team this important event.
"Trentino Volley has already won Polish edition of the Final Four in the Champions League; it was 2010 and I was thirteen, I was competing in my first season in the world of volleyball playing in Under 14 but already at the time I had realized how much this trophy was worthy for Trento and for the company”- presented the appointment the setter Simone Giannelli - .”After six years so it does something to live now leading the event; we will try with all our strength to bring back the Italian Cup which has missed since 2011, when Trento won it in Bolzano, my hometown. We feel a strong responsibility and pride to represent on this occasion our land but also Italy. We expect difficult matches, which, however, come without any particular fears or pressures because we know how to play our game and we will do it to the end; Lube is strong and experienced, but we are young and enterprising, and we will deploy all our weapons”.
Giannelli will be one of nine debutants in a Final Four of Trentino Diatec’ squad; in the past only Antonov (2013 edition with Cuneo), Colaci (2011 and 2012 with Trento), Djuric (2012 with Trento, 2014 Ankara) and Lanza (2012 with Trento) have in fact already participated.
