Diatec Trentino immediately got off a good start in the championship play-offs UnipolSai 2017, winning match 1 of the quarter-finals against Gi Group Monza. Tonight at PalaTrento the yellow-blue players have collected another victory, repeating what they have done a week ago in the away match, beating the team from Monza 3-0 and confirming their seasonal unbeatability in home games (17 consecutive victories), a favourable tradition both with this opponent and with the prediction. This is the 8th success out of eight official matches against Gi Group Monza, and Diatec Trentino was able to won this game after a convincing trial, in which the home team has done everything in the right way: the service (9 aces, 5 performed by Lanza), the attack (67% of the whole team) and a good block-defence system. Besides the outstanding performance of the Captain (mvp of the match with 55%), we must point out also the other zone-4 player, Urnaut, (9 points with 70%), an almost perfect match played by Solè (10 points with 90% of fast attacks) and in particular Stokr, who confirms his game on levels of absolute excellence both due to the 16 points he scored and because of his statistics (64%, 1 block and 1 ace). With so many players at their best, Giannelli was able to organize the attack with fantasy and practicality and hardly ever he has allowed his opponents to keep up with him; on Wednesday evening in Monza on occasion of match 2, the yellow-blue players will have the first opportunity to qualify for the semi-final.
