Trento, August 20th, 2015
The countdown has inevitably started: there are just ten days to the first training session of the new season. Unfortunately on Monday, August 31st, in Palatrento there will be only three players who will answer the call of the Club Champion Italy. To continue the wonderful story written until May 13th in PalaTrento by winning the fourth title, the desire to start again is in fact too much, as told by the words of Mitar Djuric.
Together with the new grafts Carlo Mazzone and Daniele De Angelis, the greek opposite- great protagonist of the final season in tricolors - will be one of the few to be able to carry the entire preparation."It will be very strange to train in PalaTrento initially with so few actual players” - admits the twenty-six yellow-blue, who recently renewed his contract for two more seasons-. “It had never happened before in my career and definitely will not be an easy situation to live; But we will have at our disposal the entire technical and medical staff, we can take advantage of the exceptional circumstances to treat more carefully all of the technical, tactical and physical linked to our role. I am back from two months without played games; in fact, after playing the first phase of the 2015 World League with Greece, I didn’t have a chance to play any official match but I used this long period of time to rest, settle some physical ailment that I carry around for a while and to perform a program of individual work. After the long season lived between Korea and Italy I was objectively tired: I took the opportunity to charge the batteries but now objectively I can’t wait to begin to train because I’m not used to being so much still."
“I like so much the new Trentino Volley“ - says Djuric -” The chosen squad is young but has qualities such as character and desire to win that certainly will never be less. I know pretty well all the newcomers and I am convinced that we will use every workout to improve and grow as a team. We are going to face a very long and difficult season, but none of us are afraid of what lies ahead or opponents who gradually tackle. I'm happy to get back to playing the Champions League and to do it for the first time against a Greek team: the match on November 18th in Thessaloniki will be in fact the first ever in my country as an opponent. I'm ready to take more responsibilities, although even when there were players like Birarelli Kaziyski and I already had them. Trentino Volley is still great and will continue to win."
