From the Blue college in Cavalese to the Big Camp on Monte Bondone in just few hours. After finishing this morning the third period of preparation to the European Cup 2017 in Val di Fiemme with the Italian National Team, Filippo Lanza and Simone Giannelli didn’t waste time and, as they arrived in Trento, they immediately went on Monte Bondone in Vason to make a big surprise for the ninety participants of the fifth turn of the summer camp of Trentino Volley. The visit of the two most representative players of the yellow-blue roster obviously met the enthusiasm of all the present people, including the staff; Pippo and Simone attended the party with all their hearts, signing hundreds of autographs and taking tons of selfies.
Before all of this there was space also for an interview with the two champions, in which they told about themselves. “I really realized to be part of the great volleyball when I met Samuele Papi in the on the other side of the field, he has always been my idol since I first started to approach to this sport – confessed Lanza - ; I’m very happy of what we’re doing, I feel like a privileged and I want to put even more effort to reach my goals. Do the same, guys”.
"The age difference between me and you is not very big – admitted instead Giannelli, referring to the sixteen old guys who participate to the Big Camp - ; I’m one of you and I’m pretty sure that with the hard work every volleyball player can go very far. At the start, I wanted to do the tennis or soccer player, playing these sports during the day, then I met the volleyball world and it was love-at-fist-sight. What a thrill my debut in Serie A1 in Ravenna!”
For the two yellow-blue players, as for every other blue player who trained in Cavalese, there will be two days off before training again the gym and continuing the process of rapprochement to the European Cup 2017 in Poland.
