Thanks to the qualification got against Monza tonight in the match of the quarter-finals, Diatec Trentino got the access to the Final Four of Coppa Italia for the eighth time in a row.
The match at Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (province of Bologna) on Saturday 28th January at 6 pm will be the tenth semi-finals of the national trophy in sixteen years of history for Trentino Volley. This goal was reached in the season 2001/02, when Trento won against Montichiari in the quarter-finals for 3-2 in Forlì (on 30th January 2002), in 2005/06, when on 26th January 2006 the Yellow-blues won 3-1 against Macerata, which then became Italian champion, in 2009/10 thanks to the victory for 3-0 against Perugia on 30th January 2010, in 2010/11 thanks to 3-0 against Monza on 19th January 2011, in 2011/12 thanks to 3-0 against Vibo Valentia on 25th January, in 2012/13 thanks to 3-1 against Perugia on 26th December 2012, in 2013/14 thanks to 3-1 against Modena on 29th January 2014, in 2014/15 thanks to 3-2 against Piacenza on 6th January 2015 and in the last season (2015/16) in the double match against Molfetta (victory 3-0 in Puglia on 22nd December 2015 and defeat for 2-3 at PalaTrento on 14th January 2016).
The hunt for the fourth national trophy, already won for the last time in Assago on 30th December 2012, but also in Rome on 19th February 2012 and in Montecatini Terme on 31st January 2010, will continue for the team of Lorenzetti in one of the most important indoor sport centres in Italy.
