CEV Champions League, Friday morning the Drawings of Lots for the Playoffs 12

The Basket Hall in Kazan will host the Final Four on 12-13 May
Tomorrow in headquarters of CEV the future of Trentino Diatec will take shape; at midnoon of Friday, March 2nd in Luxembourg is scheduled the draw of the Playoffs 12 for the 2018 CEV Volleyball Champions League, where the twelve teams qualified to the Main Phase will be matched. The Playoffs 12 board will determine in two matches (home and away games) who accesses the Playoffs 6, through which the three best teams will win their chance to compete with the Final Four host Zenit Kazan for the 2018 European Champion title.
The European Volleyball Federation announced today that the Final Four, scheduled on May 12th and 13th, will take place in the Basket Hall in Kazan, home of the defending three-time champion Zenit Kazan. By the rules of the tournament, in the Playoffs 12 the best six teams cannot face each other and they are the four best ranked teams of each Pool (Perugia, Friedrichshafen, Novosibirsk and Kedzierzyn-Kozle) and the best two second placed (Trento and Civitanova).
Trentino Diatec (ranked second in the Pool E) is already certain that it will not play against Kedzierzyn-Kozle (ranked first in the Pool) nor Maaseik, as both teams were in the same Pool in the Main Phase. In the double match of the Playoffs 12 (first match away on March 13-15, return match at home in PalaTrento, March 20-22) Yellow-blues will face either Ankara, Belchatow, Jastrzebski, Chaumont or Berlino.
The twelve teams qualified for the final phase of 2018 CEV Volleyball Champions League: Sir Sicoma Perugia (Italy - first ranked of Pool A), Cucine Lube Civitanova (Italy - second ranked of Pool A), Vfb Friedrichshafen (Germany - first ranked of Pool B), Halkbank Ankara (Turkey - second ranked of Pool B), Lokomotiv Novosibirk (Russia - first ranked of Pool C), PGE Skra Belchatow (Poland - second ranked of Pool C), Chaumont VB 52 Haute Marne (France - third ranked of Pool C), Jastrzebski Wegiel (Poland - third ranked of Pool D), Berlin Recycling Volleys (Germany - third ranked of Pool D), Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle (Poland - first ranked of Pool E), Trentino Diatec (Italy - second ranked of Pool E), Noliko Maaseik (Belgium - third ranked of Pool E).
