“Very tough quarter final series against Verona”

This afternoon in the “Villotti Group” Video Room of PalaTrento, coach Angelo Lorenzetti and captain Filippo Lanza met the local media to talk about the upcoming start of 2018 Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai; the first match of the quarter final series against Verona, scheduled on Diatec Trentino’s home arena on Sunday March 11th at 6 pm, has been obviously the main topic of the press conference.
“We can say that physically we are in great shape, it’s soon to talk about mental performance though: we’ll have an answer at the end of this quarter final series - answered Angelo Lorenzetti to the journalists -. A new tournament starts on Sunday night and what we’ve accomplished so far won’t count, it’s all about what we can do now. We face this challenge aware that the difference between our teams is insignificant and often during the last ten years of Playoff the fifth team ranked won over the fourth. We are going to step in the court with humility, ready for whatever may come, because a single distraction during the last matches could have costed us two or even three positions. We are willing to fight and play at our best; both the Club and the fans are used to do well in the Playoffs, while we players will discover game after game what we are really worth”.
“There are very high expectations, even if Verona is a team that played a great regular season, and certainly to be feared. During the series we want to grow up as a team and improve as players - stated Fiippo Lanza. It’s the most awaited moment of the season and in the mind of those players who already won the Playoffs something clicks, a spark that fuels ambitions and performance. We are ready to play our cards, against Calzedonia as well as against other teams. Statistics say that Verona has more incisive break point phase while we are better in the sideout. But beyond numbers and odds what makes a difference is our approach. I don’t have many advices for my teammates; every season is different”.
