Play Off Scudetto 2018, this time the tie break rewards Calzedonia Verona

Uros Kovacevic spikes during the match

The Adige’s derby of the quarter finals of Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai 2018 will be decided in the third and last match of the series which is likely to be on the 25th of March (it will be officially confirmed by the Lega tomorrow evening, after the end of the other games 2) at the BML Group Arena of Trento. Tonight, in the second challenge, Diatec Trentino was defeated at the PalaOlimpia for 2-3. Calzedonia Verona really wanted to obtain at least another match in the PlayOff Scudetto and this helped them to prevail over Diatec Trentino which has anyway made Verona work hard until the end for the success. At the same time the yellow-blues had to face the third tie break in the last six days and the ankle injury of Luca Vettori who went out during the second set. In spite of this Angelo Lorenzetti’s team managed to get ahead 2-1 especially thanks to the good performance in the net area of the spikers and also thanks to Kozamernik before Calzedonia Verona’s recovery for which they had to work hard until the 13-15 of the fifth set.
