The12th tie-breaker of Play Off for Trentino Volley on Saturday at BLM Group Arena

Diatec Trentino back to work this morning in the BLM Group Arena, preparing game 3 of the 2018 Playoff Scudetto UnipolSai quarter final series against Calzedonia Verona. The training schedule had a double training session yesterday, one afternoon session on technique on Friday and the closing one on Saturday morning. The tie-breaker match is no big news to Trentino Volley in the Playoff Scudetto; in the last fifteen seasons the team achieved the post season, Trentino Volley played eleven times such a big challenge, winning seven times. Twice against Modena (season 2005/06, 3-2 in PalaPanini, 2010/2011 3-1 in PalaTrento, qualification to Final against Cuneo, champion), twice against Piacenza (both matches allowed Yellowe-blues to win the title:3-0 in PalaTrento in 2008 and 3-2 in 2013), one against Molfetta (3-1 in PalaTrento for the 2016 quarter finals) and two against Perugia (home win in 2015 semifinal and in 2017). The only match with a negative result in PalaTrento dates back to Scudetto Final 2009, lost at the tie-break against Piacenza. The most common result is the tie-break: six of eleven “decisive” game 3 matches were decided at the fifth set, with Diatec victorious on three occasions.
