Sir Safety Conad-Diatec Trentino 3-2, the match report

The chronicle of Match 3. In the second set Perugia reacts vehemently, immediately finding a conspicuous advantage (3-5, 4-9), built with so much aggressiveness in service and block. The Diatec Trentino struggled in all fundamentals and was overwhelmed by the shock wave of the locals, which with Zaytsev in service undergo break points in series (6-13). The team of Bernardi does not stop his forcing and even double the opponent (14-7, 18-9). The point of 1-1 in the calculation of the partials therefore arrives quickly, already on 13-25 with Perugia that is also exalted to the block. The yellow-blues start as if nothing had happened and in the third period immediately take the reins of the game (and the score) running away already on 7-3, inspired by the service of Kozamernik (also a direct ace) and Giannelli's block. But the Sir Safety Conad has a lot of mental energy and the push of almost 4,000 spectators from her; with Russell and Zaytsev precise to the net it is reported immediately below (10-9). Trento still replicates with determination, enthusiasm and character to sell; with Lanza regains a promising plus +3 (16-13), which Giannelli defends with a wall on Atanasijevic and then with a personal service point (21-18).

The home team doesn't succeed in the effort of do it again and make the opponets reach the 2-1 (25-21), thanks to Teppan and Kozamernik.

During the fourth set Perugia comes back on the field with determination and at the beginning plays gretaly, as in the second set (0-4, 4-9), in spite of the fact that they lost Anzani because of te cramps (Ricci enters the field in his place). Trento doesn't give up and recovers, make the most of Kovacevic, Lanza and Giannelli's strenght (11-13, 15-16). Sir Safety realizes they're in danger and reacts (15-21) with Zaytsev at nine meters and Russell under the net. The tie-break arrives at 17-25, also because pf some mistakes by Trentino during the last part of the set. In the fifth set Diatec Trentino starts amazingly (5-3 and 7-5) making the most of the opponents' mistakes, who evens at 7-7 thanks to Zaytsev. When it's time to switch the fields the play of the team from Umbria at the 9 meters becomes more efficient and Podrascanin performs a direct ace (9-11). Trento reaches the 11-11, but then makes two mistakes at the net because of Kovacevic and arives 12-14. Zaytsev closes at the second occasion (13-15).
