Lorenzetti at RTTR: "It is important to keep our position between the the best"

Sunday night, Angelo Lorenzetti went to RTTR’s studios. The coach of Trentino Volley was the special guest of the weekly episode of “Domenica Sport”, a programme that the TV partner of the yellow-blues usually dedicates to the regional football team. The presence of Lorenzetti changed the plans bringing the focus of the programme on volleyball. Here there are some of the most interesting parts of the interview carried out by Andrea Anselmi.

Analysis. “During the season that we just ended, we worked hard but we didn’t manage to do something that gave us the opportunity to go beyond the ordinary. For this reason, my analysis is not totally positive. I got out of the field in Peugia after game 5 with a bitter taste in my mouth, because on that occasion we had the opportunity to reopen the match but we didn’t manage to. If we had won the second or the third set, we would have prolonged the match and maybe also turned the tables; it would have been interesting to discover how Sir Safety Conad would react. Given this, we need to highlight the fact that at the beginning of the year Perugia and Civitanova were considered to be the favourites and they confirmed the previsions by reaching the finals in every single competition in which they took part”.

Future. “Now, as a team, we need to stay strong in such a difficult period because it’s not easy to see that the teams that overcame us are still playing without allowing us try to reply and fill the gap. For us it is important to keep our position between the best; I know that with determination and perseverance Trentino Volley will be able to come back to the first position”.

Pride. “I really appreciated the letter wrote by Mosna at the end of the season on his Facebook page; his words made me even prouder of having the opportunity to work in a society run by a person who has an unmistakable style which is reflected even at the level of communication. In his words there’s an important paradigm shift, in comparison with what usually happens in our little world. In a period in which one’s need to fight in order to gain the victory, it is great that the President appreciates the effort made in order to try and obtain it. We must work to reach the excellence and to make the best with our potentiality; if our opponents will be stronger even in the future, we will applaud but before we must exit with the awareness that we did all we could”.

SuperLega. “The SuperLega Championship has developed a lot during these last four years and will develop even more, if we consider the investments that are going to be done by many Clubs and the relegations that will offer an even greater competition. This Club has always been loyal to its budget; the group which has barely concluded this season, made a lot. All the decisions we will make will be done towards an improvement of the situation, for the sake of Trentino Volley".

Giannelli. “Before Simone I hadn’t never have the possibility to work with such a young and mature champion. This season was very important for him, he suffered but he has also walked on a more virtuous way if compared to the last years. He wants to become the strongest one, and every day he works with will power and in a manner that allows him to be always himself. As regards Kozamernik, Teppan and Hoag; the were not regular players but they did their best both during the trainings and when they were looking at their teammates playing and this is contribution that I cannot forget. Kovacevic? He can still grow a lot and become a very decisive player for this team”.

Trento. “Trento is a good place and it has been special for me, especially during this season; even though the results delayed, our audience has never pointed fingers. The environment helped us without criticizing. For me this is source of pride. Without the support of our fans we wouldn’t have been able to recover. When we play in our home court we feel that the sport hall is full of fans and not of simple spectators. The BLM Group Arena has been an important and continuous support that I will protect as an amazing memory of this season”.
