Volleyball Nations League 2018 has started, derby in Kraljevo: Giannelli vs Kovacevic

The first edition of Volleyball Nations League will officially start on Friday May 25th, it is the new tournament organized by Fivb in place of World League and which will host every year the best National Teams of the world.
Sixteen teams will play versus each other in the first phase (called Preliminary Round), which will consist in five weekends of matches: four pools with four teams each that will change every time their composition will be played every weekend. The hosting team, as tournament organizer, will automatically take part to the Final Six in Lille (France), scheduled between July 4th and 8th, as well as the first five times of the final ranking taking into account of every single result achieved during the 120 played matches.
The National Teams can count on six players of Trentino Volley, even two new players: they yellow-blue colours will be eventually represented by the Italians Simone Giannelli and Filippo Lanza (which won’t be present during the first weekend), Nicholas Hoag (Canada, won’t be present during the first weekend), Uros Kovacevic and Srecko Lisinac (Serbia) and Jenia Grebennikov (France).
The first weekend will see some Trentino Volley’s players on the field in Kraljevo (Serbia): on Sunday 27th it will be in fact played Serbia-Italia with the yellow-blue derby between Giannelli, Kovacevic and Lisinac, which will be deferred broadcast on RAI Sport + HD AT 10.30 p.m. The debut for the Italians will take place already on Friday 25th at 5.00 p.m. versus Germany (deferred match on RAI Sport + HD starting from 0.50 a.m.), whereas on Saturday 26th at 5.00 p.m. it will be time for the match versus Eder’s Brazil (this match as well be deferred broadcast on RAI Sport + HD starting from 1 a.m.). Grebennikov will instead play in Rouen (France) in front of his public versus Iran (on Friday at 8 p.m.), Japan (on Saturday at 8 p.m.) and Australia (on Sunday at 6 p.m.). All the 120 matches of the Preliminary Round of Volleyball Nations League and the Final Six will be live broadcast in streaming (service on payment) on Volleyball World Tv, the new Web tv of Fibv.
