TV, SuperLega broadcast in 77 Countries: more than 185 million of possible spectators

SuperLega Unipolsai, the main National championship of male volleyball, confirmed its worldwide tv appeal during last season as well. During the seven months in which the 2017/18 tournament (regular season and Play Offs) took place, 77 Countries provided their viewers the images of the matches. The number of possible spectators is more than 185 million, of which 60 million are Asians (thanks to giants like Fuji TV and TBS TV) and almost 19 million of Europeans. The number, which confirm the constant international television interest for Italian volleyball, have been spread during the last days by MP&Silva, world leader agency in the distribution of television rights, including the one of SuperLega Unipolsai; compared to the previous championship there are eleven more countries (from 66 to 77) with a consequent increase of 6 million of potential tv viewers.
The so-called Global Matches – the championship matches which Lega Pallavolo Serie A spreads every turn all over the world – are very successful. In season 2017/18 Trentino Volley benefitted of a direct broadcast of ten matches all over the world (SuperLega and Coppa Italia) for an overall number of more than 18 streamed hours (without including the many replies provided by every single network).
