The fourth weekend of 2018 Volleyball Nations League ended with seven wins and only defeats for the Trentino Volley players that took the court. The best results were obtained by France and its libero Grebennikov, always playing in the starting six, defeating by 3-0 Bulgaria first and Brazil then, and winning at the tie break the match against Canada and the other Trentino Volley player Nicholas Hoag, on fire with 23 points scored. Thanks to these great results France is now leading the overall ranking together with Russia, at 12 wins each.
Two important victories was the outcome of the weekend for Serbia, with Kovacevic and Lisinac: at the Hoffman Estates (Chicago) they defeated 3-0 Poland, Iran at the tie break and lost against  home team USA. Uros and Srecko considerably contributed to their team and Serbia is now in 6th position, the last one valid for the access to the Lille’s Final Six.
Italy, currently in seventh position in the ranking, won in Seoul against China (3-1) and Korea (3-2) but lost 3-1 against Australia. Simone Giannelli is still recovering from a minor muscular injury but Davide Candellaro, new Trentino Volley middle-blocker, played regularly and showed some of his best skills in all the fundamentals.
Coming up next weekend, in the last Preliminary Round, Italy will play in Modena against Grebennikov’s France, USA, and Russia, while Serbia will contest China and Japan in Jiangmen, China.
