Lorenzetti: “The first month has been carried out with the proper dedication”

Today the fourth week of training of Trentino Volley in preparation for the season 2018/19 has come to an end with a two hours morning session in the weight room of the Trento BLM Group Arena. After having carried out eight training sessions in the last six days, the team will finally enjoy a little break in the weekend until Monday afternoon.
“The first month of practising in the gym is about to end and everything is proceeding as we had programmed on the eve – explains the coach Angelo Lorenzetti - ; since only five players of the roster were available, inevitably this period has been different from the ones of the previous seasons, but the dedication up until now has always been the proper one. At the beginning we have given priority to the physical aspect, in a second time to the individual technique, by working specifically on the single player.
This is all because currently it’s not possible to develop the game plan and, at the same time, from October it will be difficult to have time to train on the fundamentals. When the group will be reunited, the pace will necessarily be different, just like the competitive atmosphere that we’re going to live. Our goal is to have the players that are already working, ready for that moment”.
“We’ll have our first test match of the season half way through next week; I consider it as a useful touchstone – recalled the coach of Diatec Trentino talking about the friendly match set for Wednesday 19th September at the BLM Group Arena against Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching (6.30 p.m.) - . I hope that the team takes this opportunity with curiosity, the desire to discover themselves but also to dive into something different from what has been done until now”.
