Moving towards the opening match of Superlega 2018/19

The home opening match at BLM Group Arena in Trento and, more in general, the one of Superlega Credem Banca 2018/19 is more and more forthcoming for Itas Trentino. After the session in the weight room in the afternoon of Tuesday, back to training after a day of rest, from today Itas Trentino players have continued with the training also on the main court, doing the first technical-tactical sessions of the week. The programme for the upcoming match of Sunday 14th October against the newly-promoted Emma Villas Siena includes a double session (morning and evening) on Friday too, whereas on Thursday and on Saturday Giannelli and his peers are going to train only during the afternoon. The coach Angelo Lorenzetti will be able to count on the whole roster, made up of thirteen players. Playing the match that earns the first round of the regular season in front of its fans has become an enjoyable routine for Trentino Volley. Opening the season at Palatrento (nowadays called BLM Group Arena) had already happened 13 out of 18 times: season 2002/2003 (Trento-Milano 3-1), 2004/2005 (Trento-Perugia 1-3), 2005/2006 (Itas Trentino won against Padova 3-0), 2006/2007 (at time break knocked out against Taranto), 2008/2009 (Trento-Forlì 3-0), 2009/2010 (Trento-Latina 3-1), 2010/2011 (Trento-Castellana Grotte 3-0), 2011/2012 (Trento-Monza 3-0), 2012/2013 (Trento-Vibo 1-3), 2013/2014 (Trento-Latina 3-2) 2014/2015 (Trento-Padova 3-0), 2016/2017 (Trento-Vibo 3-0) and 2017/2018 (at tie-break Trentino Volley lost the match against Milano).
The debut in the championship made us happy ten times: Trentino Volley won 9 home matches, in addition to the success in Monza (October 28th 2015) during the first day of championship 2015/2016. That triumph in Brianza was the only victory not on its home ground during an opening match. Itas Trentino lost the other 4 matches.
