Itas Trentino-Top Volley Latina 3-0, the match report

The match report. For the third official match of this season at BLM Group Arena, Lorenzetti proposed again this formation: Giannelli as setter, Vettori opposite, Kovacevic and Russell as spikers, Lisinac and Candellaro in the middle, Grebennikov as Libero. On the other side, we have the trainer of Latina Lorenzo Tubertini who put Sottile as setter, Stern as opposite, Parodi and Palacios as spikers, Gitto and Rossi in the middle, Tosi as Libero. Even before the beginning of the match, Parodi was benched (probabily for a muscle soreness in the right shoulder) and replaced by Swan Ngapeth; Kovacevic scored four of the first five yellow-blue’s points (three attacks and one block). The team from Latina takes refuge in a time out, but another block (Lisinac on Placios) doesn’t give them a break (7-2). Itas Trentino divides itself in reception by facilitating the recovery of Latina. Smelled the danger, Itas Trentino starts again with Vettori (12-7) and then with Kovacevic (18-10) giving itself a relaxed ending (20-12, 23-14) and an end of the set at 25-19.
Latina tried to react in the last passes during the first set, that makes them start well the second set, fought tied in the central part (7-7, 10-10), after the initial comeback of Itas Trentino (3- 0 and 5-2). In the second half Itas Trentino accelerate (from 12-12 to 15-12), taking advantage of an ace of Lisina. Tubertini ask for a time out, but, at the restart, an ace of Russell widen the gap (18-14). It is the decisive action that make the team win the second set because, gained a good advantage, Lorenzetti's team does not give almost nothing more (21-18), other than a break (22-20) that makes it even more impressive the 25- 20 (three points in a row by Lisinac).
In the third set Latina holds up to 6-7, then Kovacevic and Lisinac make the advantage (10-7). The Top Volley raises its head well before the end of the match and Trento spreads (14-9, 16-10). The third consecutive 3-0 materializes already on 25-19 with no particular and further obstacles.
