On saturday at the BLM Group Arena the match for the top of the SuperLega

The sixteenth round of regular season of SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/19 against Sir Safety Conad Perugia will be played at the BLM Group Arena on Saturday 5th January (h. 6:00 pm): live on RAI Sport + HD and Radio Dolomiti.

Also we had a few days of rest, which, mentally may have been very useful, but from the volleyball point of view is not always helpful. We have to quickly get back to the field to get as close as possible to a beautiful and very intense second part of the season".
The coach from Trentino will count on the entire squad of thirteen players, who will complete its training this afternoon and Sunday morning. Trentino Volley will play the 789th match of its history and will try to get the 550th victory (the 19th consecutive): currently they are 285 at home and 264 away.
FIRST TIME AS FORMERS FOR LANZA AND HOAG AT BML GROUP ARENA After playing with the Trentino Volley shirt in the previous ten seasons, 300 races in the first team (150 as captain) and contributing significantly to the victory of eight titles, the spiker Filippo Lanza will compete a race against the society in which he is born as a player, on Saturday with the shirt of Perugia. Debut as a former also for Nicholas Hoag, who scored 42 games and 357 points last season and has been in Perugia for a month. In the Perugia roster there are also Massimo Colaci (with a attendance record in Trentino Volley with 345 races) and the middle-blocker Gianluca Galassi, who grew up in the Trentino Youth Team without playing in the first team.
OPPONENTS After closing a 2018 that gave Sir Safety Conad Perugia the most important trophies of its history (Italian Cup and Scudetto), the team is first in the rankings (with a point of advantage over Trento and three on Civitanova) and the title of Campione d’Inverno. Despite having radically changed formation compared to the past, the team of Lorenzo Bernardi is still the team to beat in SuperLega because the new players immediately knew how to play their part. PREVIOUS MATCHES On Saturday at the BLM Group Arena will be played the thirty-second match between the two teams, the tenth of the last twelve months considering that Itas Trentino and Sir Safety Conad have competed regularly in the semi-finals of all recent Italian events: Coppa Italia, Play Off Scudetto and Super Coppa Italiana 2018. The balance is in favor to yellow-blue team for 17-14, but is in perfect equality in the last four direct matches. A victory for each team in the current season, in the games played in Umbria: 3-0 for Trento on 6th of October (Supercoppa semifinals - sets of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24), 3-1 for Perugia on the 28th of October (regular season game - sets of 17-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-22). At the BML Group Arena, Perugia won only two of the fourteen previous games played (for 1-3 on the 16th of March 2014 and 0-3 on the 4th of February 2018).
REFEREES The match will be directed by Andrea Puecher (from Padua, in the main league from 2003 and international from 2013, and by Dominga Lot (from San Donà di Piave – Treviso in Serie A from 2010) .This will be their first match together, the 9th for Puecher (who directed the matches where Trentino Volley won against Verona and Milan for 3-0 and the 7th for Lot, who directed the match against Vibo on the 1th of November.
TV, RADIO AND THE INTERNET The match will be a global media event, and will be transmitted on all types of media. In fact, it will be broadcast by RAI Sport + HD, a channel on both the terrestrial digital (number 57 in HD, 58 in sd) and on Sky on number 227, with commentary of Maurizio Colantoni and Andrea Lucchetta; and in streaming video-audio at www.raisport.rai.it.
As usual, The match will be transmitted live on Radio Dolomiti, radio partner of Trentino Volley; the first live connection will be at 5.55 pm.
